Casa Monti is set within its own grounds in woodland at the edge of a small, quiet hamlet. The views of the Monti Sibillini mountain range are simply stunning. The barn offers total privacy to guests and the opportunity for al fresco dining on the ample terrace. The well preserved market town of Sarnano is within reasonable walking distance. Casa Monti is well placed for visiting the sea, places of architectural and cultural interest (the Frasassi Caves, Macerata open air opera arena), walking, riding, paragliding, even hot air ballooning, and enjoying the numerous restaurants offering local fare.

Changeover day
Flexible, so our guests can take advantage of cheaper flights. Guests should arrive after 3.00pm and leave by 10.00am on the morning of departure.

Due to the location of the property, it is only suitable for able-bodied adults. No children under 18, no pets. Wood is provided free of charge for the wood burning stove. Gas central heating is metered according to consumption for winter lets.

Accessibility
We regret that Casa Monti is not wheelchair accessible.
Outside
Casa Monti is set within its own private grounds with ample car parking space. A large terraced area with BBQ provided overlooks the lovely mountain view. Outdoor garden furniture included.
Coast/Beach
Seaside towns along the Adriatic coast are a 45 minute drive away with Porto San Giorgio being the nearest. Organised beach facilities are to be found in all coastal towns and there is plenty of choice for dining at the traditional fish "chalets" sited on the beach. The dramatic cliffs of Conero and Sirolo are an hour's drive away.
Skiing
The ski resorts of Sassotetto and Bolognola are situated 20 minutes away by car. These resorts are ideal for beginners and intermediate level and benefit from a brand new ski centre and new runs. During the week, the slopes are often empty and lessons can be arranged. Ski equipment and snowboards are available for hire in town or at the ski centre.

Ancona Falconara 1hr 15 mins. Perugia 1hr 30 mins. Pescara 2hrs All served by Ryanair. Rimini 2 hrs Served by Ryanair from East Midlands and Easyjet from Luton. Car hire is absolutely essential.
Distances
Sarnano, 5 mins. Macerata, 35 mins. Ascoli Piceno, 1 hr. Frasassi Caves and Fabriano, 1hr 30 mins. Urbino, Republic of San Marino and Assissi, within 2 hours. All distances by car.
Further details
Sarnano is a well preserved medieval town famous for its spring waters. It is possible to visit the charming spa and book health and beauty treatments and "take the waters". The town is well served by traditional shops and larger supermarkets, a chemist, medical centre, tourist office, two banks and post office. Sports facilities include tennis, an indoor swimming pool, park with mini golf, horse riding and numerous walking and cycling trails. A paragliding centre is located in San Liberato 15 mins away, as well as quad biking. The surrounding area offers superb routes for rambling and opportunities for observing rare wildlife and alpine flowers. Lake Fiastra is a 25 minute drive away where it is possible to swim and enjoy a picnic. All tiny villages have monuments of historical or cultural interest including wonderful works of art by famous painters in many of the churches.
The University town of Macerata holds an internationally renowned open air opera festival during July and August while there is a jousting festival in Ascoli and numerous local festivals to attend usually celebrating food, when locals gather , games are played and dancing to live bands is the order of the evening. The Roman settlement of Urbisaglia is also interesting (20 minutes) and ancient theatre is performed at the open air theatre in the summer months. Le Marche is famous for its shoe production and there are many factory outlets for shoes, leather goods and designer clothes within reasonable driving distance.
Booking notes
A deposit of 30% of the total holiday cost is required to secure the booking. Balance to be paid 8 weeks before start date of the holiday. Security deposit of £200 to be paid 2 weeks before arrival. This will be returned within 10 days of departure.
