2 bedroom apartment sleeps 5 and studio sleeps 3/4 in delightful garden residence just short walk from the beach. Prices are for the whole apartment not per person. Studio has a double sofa bed & single sofa bed plus airbed. The two bedroom apartment includes a double bedroom and a twin bedroom and a single sofa bed. The residence includes 3 swimming pools, 2 tennis courts, a football pitch as well as entertainment, bar, pizzeria, shop and restaurant on-site. Brand new completed 2008 as addition to well established residence. Complete freedom to self cater or dine out in residence or nearby (car necessary) or mix and match as you please. Residence is family friendly with High Season organised childrens activities. Within easy reach of historic town of Castelsardo and all resorts along beautiful Costa Paradiso. Day trips to Santa Teresa (ferry to Corsica) La Maddelena Islands and Costa Smeralda. Other beautiful beaches are also nearby.

Dining table, 5 chairs. Crockery and cutlery. Living room and very spacious terrace 30 sq m ideal for al fresco eating has lovely views over pool and gardens. Table and 4 garden chairs.
Air-conditioning units in living area and large ceiling fan in double bedroom. Twin bedroom has both air-conditioning and large ceiling fan. Safe car parking.

Notes on accommodation
Apartment and studio can be rented separately or together. Supplement of £80.00 (or €100.00) covers gas water elec and professional cleaning and clean linen/towels. Apartment will be cleaned changeover day only. This is usually sufficient but an extra clean and change of towels/linen can be requested.

Accessibility
Access around residence is good and beach is a level 350m away. Small rise to apartment and short flight of steps to door. Italy generally is 'mobility-friendly' but Sardinia is a hilly and mountainous island.

Outside
The Calarossa residence lies in an unspoilt natural environment on the island's NW coast, just a few km from the charming port town of Isola Rossa. The gardens of Calarossa blend perfectly with the natural surroundings. April, May, June, July, August and September is virtually guaranteed sunshine but can be a lovely quiet break in March or October. Closed Nov Dec Jan Feb re-opens for Easter 2012

Coast/Beach
Calarossa is at the start of the Costa Paradiso and there are several charming bays nearby. Santa Teresa to the North is a bustling port and the summer 'passeggiata', where everyone dresses up and goes for a stroll is an enjoyable people watching experience. Ferries cross from Santa Teresa to Corsica, whose white cliffs are visible across the straits. Another fascinating trip is to Capo Testa the western cape of the island where the sea and winds give the rock formations a savage beauty.

Luxury course at Costa Smeralda approx 1 hours drive.

Special interest holidays
The crystal clear waters of Sardinia in general and the Costa Paradiso in particular offer the perfect opportunity for both the experienced diver and the learner to enjoy a wonderful taste of diving. Courses available at Costa Paradiso or Isola Rossa. Watersports of all types are available all over the island and with the cleanest seas in the Mediterranean Sea.

Travel
Calarossa is a little over an hour from either Olbia or Alghero airports. From the UK Alghero is served by Ryanair from London Stansted as well as London Luton, or from ROI from Dublin. There is also a seasonal service (starts 31.3.12) with BMI Baby from East Midlands to Alghero. Olbia is served by easyjet.com from Gatwick (starts 27.4.12) and Bristol (starts 16.6.12) There is also the option of Jet2 from Edinburgh to Olbia (starts 19.5.12) and Leeds/Bradford to Olbia (starts 19.5.12)

Isola Rossa, charming port town with aquapark 4KM. Badesi, long sandy beach 7KM. Santa Teresa di Gallura 40km / 1 hour. Alghero (Fertilia airport) 100km / 1 hour. Olbia (inc airport) 80km / 1 hour plus. Costa Smeralda 1 hour. Castelsardo 30 mins. Trinita D'Agultu a hilltop town of 2000 inhabitants has chemists, ATM and small shops 6KM

On-site facilities include: Bar, Restaurant with panoramic view, Pizzeria, 1 Laundromat, Mini market, Boutique. Sport and Entertainment: 3 swimming pools including one "kids only" well equipped with sunloungers and parasols. Soccer: 5 a side field. 3 tennis courts with night lighting. 1 bowling ground (for petanque). The owners would particularly recommend the Sagittario restaurant (at number 10, Via Al Mare, Trinita d'Agultu) as a good value and good quality place to eat. Anthony Carella in the Sunday Times called it "...the kind of unpretentious Italian restaurant one dreams of finding." Owner Paulo Muzzigoni and manageress Irene Piga will give a warm welcome. Another recommendation is La Tana di Li Mazzoni (back to main road and turn left and it's on your left hand side)
Cinema: Tempio Pausania (37 km). Night Clubs: on the Costa Smeralda (70 km), in Santa Teresa di Gallura (40km).

About the owner
Peter and Marisa are from England and Italy respectively. Together they have holidayed many times in Italy before discovering Calarossa on a visit in Autumn 2007. They purchased a 2 bedroom apartment in July 2008 and an adjacent studio apartment in Jan 2009. In high summer Calarossa is a fun and activity-packed destination for all the family. The setting, however, is simply beautiful making a fabulous holiday at any time of year, with 300 days of sunshine. Peter and Marisa visit a couple of times a year to eat and are regularly there in October and even swimming!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Bought the 2 bedroom apartment in July 2008 and the studio in January 2009. We love Sardinia and particularly the friendliness and courtesy of it's people. With 300 days of sunshine a year, a break at any time can be fantastic and we are also totally flexible on changeover days, meaning our guests can take advantage of cheaper mid week and low season airfares and ferry crossings.

Unique benefits of the property
Fantastic views with glorious sunrises and sunsets - and just a few hundred metres to the beach.
