Accessibility
The village is built into the mountain side and the route up to the house from the village is cobbled and steep. Please bear this in mind if you have mobility issues. The car parking is either in the village (5 minute walk up) or in the car park by the cemetery above the village (5 minutes walk down).
Outside
There is a small patio/courtyard adjacent to the house. Garden furniture is provided.
Coast/Beach
The Riviera dei Fiori (coast of flowers) is 35 minutes drive down the mountain road through the valley Argentina. Beaches are sandy with large rocks for sunbathing - both public and private beaches - with lifeguards.
Golf
There are two golf courses in San Remo (45 mins by car) and Albenga (90 mins by car).
Travel
The two nearest airports are Nice (90 mins drive) and Genoa (2 hours 15 mins). There is a regular train service from both these cities to Arma di Taggia on the coast and a bus service from Arma to Molini. However, to explore and get the best from the area we recommend the use of a car.
Distances
The house is located in the small medieval part of the village. Walking time to the nearest bar (and shops!) is 3 minutes (downhill!)
Further details
It is possible to spend weeks in Molini without ever leaving the village which has three shops, two restaurants, 4 bars, pharmacy, ATM and garage/petrol station. There are other excellent restaurants in neighbouring villages including pizzerias in Triora and Verdeggia. Supermarkets are in Arma di Taggia a 30 minute drive. There is a village swimming pool created out of the local river (cold but convenient) as well as river swimming complete with waterfalls further up the valley. The walking here is excellent for all levels. There is mountain climbing for the truly adventurous as well as bungee jumping! There are mountain biking trails. The village has a tennis court and a gymnasium. During the summer there is a locally run 'ramblers group' which offers guided walking into less well known parts of the mountain path network. San Remo and Imperia are stunning yet charming cities with much to see of historical interest and there are often musical concerts in both. both have weekly markets. Every local village has its own 'sagra' (festival). In Molini it is snails, in neighbouring Triora, mushrooms and in Badalucco, beans!
