The house was built 1850 and restored in the traditional Tuscan style, with careful attention to every minor detail.When restructuring and renovating the house for rental apartment, we put ourselves in your shoes to make decisions that would provide a homelike environment of comfort and quality. The renovation of the apartment was finished in May 2009. The hause has been renovate in a Country style, with one double bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen-dining room ,an independent sitting room, lovely bright mansard with 2 single beds ( or 1 double upon request) for a total of 90sq.m. The Farm Holidays is located in the municipal district of Siena-Tuscany, in the heart of the wonderful area of Val d'elsa. It is just 1.2 km from the charming, medieval village of Casole d'elsa where you can find shops, restaurants and typical Tuscan food store. it is joined by a safe road to the village, so you can reach it without car in 10 minutes and have in that way a pleasant walk.

Damage deposit on arrival and refunded on departure: 200 euros ( or Pounds sterlings).

Outside
The outdoor area is composed of garden (with a green carpet of grass, many varieties of flowers and garden furniture with tables to eat outdoors and a deckchair to relax in). A splendid swimming pool (measuring 6 x 12 m) from which you can enjoy a spectacular view over San Gimignano and the hills. Around the swimming pool there are lounge chairs, large parasols, large green space and hedges of roses. The property is surrounded by hedges of laurel, a 300 years holm oaks and by big cypresses. Beyond the garden there are 5 hectares of green fields and a woodpark where you can take relaxing walks, treks or cycles for lovers of mountain bikes.

Siena is one of the most beautiful and visited cities of art in Italy. The city of the Palio is set between the greenery of Val d'Elsa, the hills of Chianti, Amiata mountain and the Crete Senesi. The city is of human dimensions and has maintained intact the charm of a medieval town, with its alleys that wind around the heart of the city, the renowned Piazza del Campo. The Palio is one of the marvels of Italian tradition.
Florence is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Its works of art and museums are the destination each year of millions of visitors. The Tuscan chief town is a world patrimony of Unesco, an acknowledgement that highlights its artistic and architectural greatness. It is impossible to describe the charm of Piazza della Signoria, the cathedral, the Old Bridge... You just have to see it.
The town in Val di Cecina results from a meeting of different historic periods. Volterra retains a considerable historic centre of Etruscan origin, with its Roman ruins and medieval buildings, the Cathedral and the Palazzo dei Priori, which are the nerve centre of the town. The surrounding area provides the desert "salt works" and the "towers" of the geothermic area of Larderello.

Booking notes
A deposit of 35% is requested upon making a booking.The balance will be paid within 90 days before arrival date. For any booking made less than 90 days prior to the beginning of your holidays payment must be made in full. Damage deposit on arrival and refunded on departure 200 euros. Payment can be done only by bank transfer. Arrival between 15:00 and 19:00. Departure within 9:00.
Guest comments
We stayed at Podere Monti for 2 weeks in May 2011. The property is located within a one hour drive of Florence and about 30 minutes of Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano. You can also venture further afield and get to Lucca, Perugia and the coast in a couple of hours.
The accommodation was comfortable and equipped with all essentials, and the pool area was spacious and clean, and never remotely crowded.
Casole d'Elsa is about a 15/20 minute walk away and that has places to eat and drink and a couple of small shops for essentials.
The owners were happy to answer any questions and were very nice. They also recommended places to eat in the local area that did not disappoint.
Good base for touring the beautiful Tuscan towns and countryside.

Our family lives in this area since 1950 and has always been our dream to transform our house in a holiday farm for families. This dream became reality in 1990 and now after 20 years, we continue to make this job with the same passion.

Our house is the result of inheritance of our grandparents who intensely loved this area and decided to move here permanently. This love for our land came intact directly to us.
