The pool

The accommodation is located in the heart of the Siena countryside, just a few kilometers from Siena (30km), Florence (60km), San Gimignano (15km), Volterra (20km), Chianti (8km) and Val d'Elsa, a perfect place to visit the main attractions of Tuscany. The Holiday House is ideal for a holiday in search of tranquillity, thanks to the comfortable and elegant environment, the magnificent swimming pool and the picturesque, surrounding nature. The outdoor area is composed of a large garden with tables to eat outdoors and a deckchair to relax in, a splendid swimming pool from which you can enjoy a spectacular view over San Gimignano. 2 double bedrooms, living room with kitchen corner, bathroom with shower, small terrace on the east side.

Notes on prices
Prices are per week up to 4 people and are expressed in euros. Prices below include: taxes, supply of linens and towels and final cleaning (except the kitchen that must be left clean). Changeover day is Saturday with the exception of March, mid-October and November, when you can arrive any day of the week.

Notes on accommodation
The pool is private for those who rent the entire property. Everything is included in price with exception of central heating (on a pay per use basis). Use of washing machine:4 euros per wash.

Outside
Podere Monti is surrounded by hedges of laurel, a 300 years holm oaks and by big cypresses. Beyond the garden there are 5 hectares of green fields and a woodpark. The fantastic pool offers a splendid view over San Gimignano and over the the Siena countryside.
Around the swimming pool (6 x 15 m) there are lounge chairs, large parasols, large green space and hedges of roses.
In front of the Farmhouse there is a garden with a green carpet of grass, many varieties of flowers and garden furniture.

Distances
-Casole d'elsa is the nearest town (1,2 km). It is a lovely medieval town where you can find all what you need: shops, a little supermarket, very good restaurants and pizzerias, 1 bank, post office, post box a quiet big Church, 2 bakers shops, cafés and a night pub.
-Val d'elsa: in our area you can find a lot of splendid little towns: Monteriggioni, Volterra, Colle val d'elsa, San Gimignano, Certaldo Alto, San Donato etc...

Further details
Siena (30 km away-25 min drive) is one of the most beautiful and visited cities of art in Italy. The city of the Palio is set between the greenery of Val d'Elsa, the hills of Chianti, Amiata mountain and the Crete Senesi. The city is of human dimensions and has maintained intact the charm of a medieval town, with its alleys that wind around the heart of the city, the renowned Piazza del Campo. The Palio is one of the marvels of Italian tradition.

Florence (60 km away-40 min drive) is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Its works of art and museums are the destination each year of millions of visitors. The Tuscan chief town is a world patrimony of unesco, an acknowledgement that highlights its artistic and architectural greatness. It is impossible to describe the charm of Piazza della Signoria, the cathedral, the Old Bridge. You just have to see it.

Volterra (22 km-20 min drive).

San Gimignano (20 km-15 min drive).

Casole d'elsa 2 km (10 min by walking): Casole d'Elsa is a small medieval village located 420 m above sea level at the top of the hill. Well ventilated, it has a dry climate and pleasantly temperate. The heart of Casole is the 'piazza Lucchetti', the small central square with its historic buildings dating from the Middle Ages, with narrow streets and small shops where you can buy typical products of the region or taste the delicious specialities in the restaurants on the small streets of the center. A characteristic of this small town is certainly the warmth and kindness of people who still live according to the old traditions and rhythms of life without pollution or stress.

Booking notes
A deposit by bank transfer is requested upon making a booking. We invite you to give notice of cancellation as soon as possible contacting our structure via e-mail, fax or phone. In case of any problem that can not afford to stay in chosen house, the owner will personally find a new accommodation.
Security deposit in cash requested on arrival and refunded on departure : 200 euros.

Guest comments
The property is located within a one hour drive of Florence and about 30 minutes of Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano. The accommodation was comfortable and equipped with all essentials, and the pool area was spacious and clean, and never remotely crowded.
Casole d'Elsa is about a 15/20 minute walk away and that has places to eat and drink and a couple of small shops for essentials.
The owners were happy to answer any questions and were very nice. They also recommended places to eat in the local area that did not disappoint.
Good base for touring the beautiful Tuscan towns and countryside.
The accomodation was clean. We had a great time in Tuscany and the cottage was a chilled out place to be based.
