Villa Louise, a new luxury villa, provides beautiful hill top accommodation with breathtaking views of Lake Como. The property which has a part stone clad façade and is built into the mountain side, rises majestically from the road via a private drive. There is car parking available both on the lower road level and up at the villa for several cars. There are lake and mountain views from nearly every room in this light and spacious villa. The villa has a balcony on three sides where you will find seating to enjoy your afternoon tea whilst basking in the sun and enjoying the vista. A large covered stone terrace and garden sit on the 4th side with lake and mountain views. This is where you will spend much of your time – breakfast – lunch and dinner 'al fresco' – it will be an effort to drag yourself away to the BBQ a few short steps away.

Accessibility

Enjoy the magnificent views on the villas hill top garden planted around with olive, chestnut, cherry & lemon trees.
As the sun goes down and darkness descends on Villa Louise you will find it hard to decipher the star lit sky from the twinkling lights on the opposite mountain side – a truly memorable place to visit – a visit you will remember for a long time.
Coast/Beach
A 15 minute leisurely walk down to the lake and waters edge, will bring you to the historic town of Rezzonico with its medieval castle, churches and Pizzeria! The walk back always seems to take longer, I wonder why...
Golf
The Menaggio and Cadenabbia Golf Club (only 10 mins away by car), is the second oldest Golf Club in Italy and represents British tradition at its best. Overlooking Lake Como, it is a course combining old-world values with a heritage of golfing culture. The elevated position of the course provides splendid views in all directions. Players can catch glimpses of the lakes and in the distance, the central Alps. At the traffic lights in Menaggio, bear left towards Porleza/Lugano and continue for 4 km until you come to a sign on your left, indicating the Golf Club. If you would like to play at the Club; Mid-week daily Green Fee 55 euros, weekends and bank holidays green fee 70 euros. x10 green fees (Mon - Fri) 450 euros, x10 green fees (weekend's and bank holidays) 550 euros, daily buggy hire 36 euros, daily club hire 15 euros.
Skiing
The villa is also close and convenient for the ski resorts of Madesimo, St. Moritz, Livigno & Bormio all of which are in the Italian or Swiss Alps, a one to two hour drive away.
Travel
Milan Malpensa airport & Orio al Serio Bergamo airport are both approx. 95 km - 99 km away.
The nearest ferry terminal is in Menaggio, 7km away.
The nearest train station is in Varenna, across the lake from Menaggio or Como San Giovani in Como, which is 44 km away.
A car is recommended when staying at our villa.
Distances
San Siro (formerly Santa Maria Rezzonico) - situated in one of the best spots on Lake Como, where the scenery of the lake and the mountains is something really special - a place where you can relax and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the lake.
Menaggio is only about a 5 min. drive away - a thriving town from where you can explore all the beautiful villages around the lake from the main ferry terminal.

Lake Como offers hidden treasures just waiting for the visitor to discover them: charming corners forgotten by time, lakeside villages where nothing seems to have changed for centuries. It is steeped in history with an immense collection of churches, architectural masterpieces and works of art covering the centuries. The lake is situated in a basin surrounded by wooded mountains, and offers an extremely varied landscape, with its' shores featuring a succession of pastures, and woods as well as harsh and impressive rock formations. All this alongside elegant, lakeside villas with sub-tropical gardens, which provide a haven of peace and tranquillity and chic resorts such as Bellagio, Menaggio and Como itself.
San Siro is a pretty, historic hamlet, 7km north of Menaggio where you can still feel the atmosphere of the ancient past and view the beautiful castle. San Siro’s town centre is where you can find more shops, food stores and restaurants as well as public beaches on the lake. On the side of the lake there are water sports facilities (boat rental, sailing, surfing), and there are many scenic walks on your doorstep.
Booking notes
There is a final cleaning cost of 120 euros when staying for one week and 160 euros when staying for two weeks with all bedlinen and towels included. If staying for two weeks or more, the bedlinen and towels will be refreshed after each week. All utility usage such as water, electricity and gas, are included in the rental price.
