'Casa Forte' is on three levels. Iis an Italian fortified house set in 20 acres of fruit groves and chestnut woods in the beautiful region of Emilia Romagna. Just 45 minutes from the centre of Bologna and Modena. This location represents the perfect base to enjoy your holiday in Italy. The house is very comfortable and offers a breathtaking view over the valleys and mountains of the Apennines. It is on three levels and built into the hillside so you may enter from the ground and from the first floor.

Notes on prices
Rates include water, electricity, gas, bedroom linens, bathroom and kitchen towels, firewood and final cleaning. The costs for central heating, when needed, are extra and depend on the amount of gas used. A 40 % booking deposit is requested upon reservation. We do accept Visa and Master cards.
Changeover day
Preferred changeover day during high season: Saturday. Flexible changeover day during low season. Arrival time: 4pm. Departure time: 12am.

Notes on accommodation
Casa Forte is on three levels. It is built into the hillside so you may enter from the ground and from the first floor. On the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom with shower. One of the bedrooms has a door to the garden. Stairs lead up to the first floor, which has a kitchen, a dining area and a full bathroom with bathtub. Doors open from the kitchen and main room to an outdoor patio fully furnished for dining alfresco. Stairs lead up to a living area with the fireplace. It is a loft area open to the main room below.

We organize cookery courses for enthusiastic amateurs, gourmets and anyone who appreciates food, wine and cooking. During your stay it is possible to organize visits to Parmesan cheese, Balsamic vinegar and Parma Ham factories, where a guided tour in English is followed by a tasting. You can taste local wines in our cantina. Florence, Parma, Ravenna, Rimini are recommended day-trips.

Nearest airport is Bologna (1 hour driving). Forli is 1h40 drive. Firenze 1s 1h40 drive. The use of car is essential.

Local shops (butcher, bakery, groceries, pharmacy, tabacchi, ice cream shop) opening hours: Monday through Sunday 8.30-12.30 and 1630-1930. Thursday all day closed. Bank and post office Monday - Saturday 8.30-13.00. Weekly market in Zocca: Tuesday 7.00-13.00.
