Casa Sulla Piazza is a ground floor apartment within a 17th century townhouse in the historic centre of Barga Vecchia. On Via di Mezzo, the main street of the old town, within minutes walk of a good selection of excellent restaurants, café and shops. The Duomo (cathedral) and the Theatre, which hosts Opera and Jazz festivals every summer are a short walk.

Prices are for the property per day in euros.
April, May and October 420 euros per week.

Changeover day
Changeover is flexible. The apartment will normally be available from mid-day with check out by 11am. Late arrivals (ie after 6pm) must be notified to us so we can arrange keys.

Accessibility
The apartment is on the ground floor but there is a short flight of stairs to the bedroom and bathroom. Barga Vecchia is not suitable for visitors with mobility restriction as many of the old streets are steep and unevenly paved.
Outside
There is a quiet, sunny piazza in front of the apartment with benches.
Coast/Beach
The extensive beaches of the Ligurian Riviera are within easy driving distance (1 hour to Viareggio) There are both undeveloped and developed beaches with restaurants and beach facilities.
Travel
Pisa international airport is served by flights from all parts of the UK, Europe and from North America (New York and Atlanta) From Pisa there is access to Barga by train or coach (about 2 hours) or by car (80 mins). There are excellent train services from all parts of Europe by the Eurostar network.
Distances
Lucca is the provincial capital and well worth a visit. Of Roman origin the walled city has many historic sites as well as numerous Villas and vineyards in the surrounding country. Lucca is 40 minutes by car, 1 hour by bus or train.
Further details
The apartment is within walking distance of ALL the shops you could require! There are numerous small alimentary (grocery stores) as well as fruit and vegetable shops, butchers and a well stocked supermarket. There are several banks and ATMs.
