Montefegatesi (850m A.S.L) is an ancient medieval village. It is built onto a strong rock and situated in the middle of a natural dell formed by the Tosco-emilian Apennines and Apuan Alps, the Tirreno sea and some of the islands of Tuscan archipelago can be seen when the weather is fine. Rich in great woods with chestnut, oak, maple and pine trees. The famous natural reserve of The Orrido di Botri is nearby, here you can walk along the river, jump into the cold refreshing water, discover all the little gullies and unforgettable landscapes. With a little bit of luck guests who visit here might be able to catch a glimpse of wild boar, deer, rabbits, squirrels, or the golden eagle who nests here. Bagni di Lucca spas can be reached within 20 minutes driving. The village is well situated for day visit to Lucca, Pisa, Florence and the Versilian coast.
