The property stands in Buggiano which is on the hills just outside Montecatini, and dominates the whole valley, stretching from Monsummano, to Fucecchio, and San Miniato and even as far as the hills around Pisa. It has a mild climate suitable for certain crops, and so took the name 'The place of the citruses'. Along the narrow lanes and windy roads you can catch a glimpse of the gardens and the houses, all of which are rich in beautiful flowers and luscious grassy greens. At some point in May these gardens are open to the public for two Sundays. The Buggiano Castle was an old medieval place that hides many treasures. The garden’s secrets are contained within its walls, dating back to the 1200s. The scents and smells the garden offers you will truly bedazzle your senses. The confusing maze is elevated above the Palazzo Pretorio.

Very suitable for children...they can play around the narrow flagged ancient streets of Buggiano, or run around in the next fields..The Church square is attached the property and very suitable to play around or relaxing reading a book while overlooking the breathtaking view ..

Guests are everyday welcome at the pool at La Fagianaia – less than 3 km from Buggiano and only few minutes drive - you will have your private space with table and chairs for alfresco meals, bring your own lunch and use barbueque, either book for lunch or dinner and be comfortably served !
We provide bed linen and bath towel - changes as many as you desire, kitchen equipment, heating.

There is terrace and outdoor space in the next green fields with sunbeds, benches and table - peaceful and scenic.

Lucca is 25 km, less than 30 min drive, easy to reach.
Pisa and Florence are both 45 km away, very good train service to reach them.
We are close to Siena and San Gimignano, such as Vinci.
