Casa Settembre is one of two luxury villas in a rural location. Total renovation just completed. There are two large airy bedrooms (one with four poster bed), kitchen, dining room, sitting room and two bathrooms. Thick walls make it cool in summer and cosy in winter. Full central heating and open log fire. Set in 2.5 acres of orchard and woodland, it is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday and for exploring this fascinating region of Italy. The beautiful Baroque town of Martina Franca is about 10 minutes drive away and there you will find fantastic restaurants, an impressive cathedral, vibrant markets and excellent shops. The magical trulli capital, Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is about 20 minutes drive. Casa-Settembre is midway between lovely beaches on the Adriatic coast and sandy beaches in the Gulf of Taranto, on the Ionian Sea. Ryan Air flies into Brindisi airport, about 50 minutes drive away, and Bari airport about 75 minutes away.

Notes on accommodation
The villa has just been renovated to a very high standard. Very safe and secure. Suitable for children. Very thick trullo walls help to keep the interior cool in summer and cosy in winter. Full central heating. This is a no smoking site. Owners on site to offer guidance and advice.

Coast/Beach
Lovely beaches and lidos either on Adriatic coast - about 20 miles away, or Ionian Sea, again about 20 miles away.
Travel
Car essential. Two international airports, Brindisi or Bari, both within easy distance. Fly into one and out from the other if required. Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays Brindisi, Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Bari. Car hire available from either and car can be collected from one and dropped off at the other if required.
Distances
The centre of Martina Franca is about 3 miles away. It is a beautiful town where you can sit with a coffee or a wine and watch the world go by. There is a magnificent cathedral, a large public swimming pool, excellent restaurants and lovely shops. Alberobello, a must, is about 10 miles away.
Further details
Small supermarkets, fruit, vegetable stalls, pizzeria and a wide range of restaurants cluster around the roads into town. A beautiful, newly renovated hotel and restaurant is a few minutes drive up the road.
