The apartments are inside of a property of 10.000 mq. of cultivated land to ulivo, vigna and fruits. The position is dominant. Distant from the beach approximately 3 km. Is an optimal point of departure in order to visit Cinque Terre, Portofino, Porto Venere, etc. Equipped of all the comfort with private parking. A deep green colours the hills throughout the year and a heady perfume fills the air. This is the fascination of the Mediterranean maquis, which surrounds Moneglia. The light of the sun filters through the plumes of the maritime pines and the oaks, warming the fairytale like forest floor, where it seems as if you might see an elf walking along the paths, between the red sarsaparilla berries and the light blue flowers of wild lavender. Here the beach is of fine golden sand, surrounded by the rocky headland that juts out to sea and scented with the smells of the Mediterranean maquis.

Blue is the colour of the sea and blue is the colour of the flag awarded by the European Union to Moneglia, which has continued to win it back year after year far the high quality of environmental care and far the high standards of its tourist infrastrutture. In order to be awarded the European standard not only must the sea be clean, but the some care must be also devoted to the beaches, services and the natural and urban environment as a whole.

Here the beach is of fine golden sand, surrounded by the rocky headland that juts out to sea and scented with the smells of the Mediterranean maquis. Between Punta Rospo to the east and Punta Moneglia to the west, and even as far as Punta Manara, the steep rocks which cut into the sea like vertical blades conceal hidden coves, l'Orto dei Preti, la Valletta, la Ituspea, while the surrounding Mediterranean vegetation makes its way up to the mountains of Moneglia, Mezzema and Incisa, aver 500 metres above sea level. On narrow terraces of land or fasce olives, and vines are cultivated, paths run through the pine and oak forests in the thick undergrowth of wild strawberries, myrtle and ferns, where the only sounds are the chirping of the birds and the rustle of the wind and where from the highest points you look out onto the sweeping vistas of the Riviera and the open sea.

Moneglia, at the centre of Eastern Liguria, is indeed an ideal starting point to reach many other beauty spots of this area of Liguria. A short journey by train to the east and you are in the Cinque Terre, with its villages perched between the hills and the waves, its vineyards hanging onto the sharp drop to the sea, the national park, the coastal path which crosses it, passing through olive groves, vineyards and wild scenery. A bit further on and you arrive at La Spezia, with its round cathedral, the small but rich museum 'Amedeo Lia', the Poets' Gulf, one of the most beautiful in Italy with the colourful villages of Portovenere and Tellaro.

Spacious recent build apartment, very well maintained and clean. Property is one of the last uphill, so the view at sea and surrounding hills is really fantastic from you own terrace. Lazy terrace-chairs are available. Also a perfect place to stay when you are planning to walk the Cinque Terre. The best way to visit and walk the Cinque Terre is to use the train to the first Cincque Terre-village. The parking in Moneglia can be difficult but the parkingplace at the trainstation (500m from centre) provides enough place.The owner of the apartment recommended us a very good restaurant in Moneglia, very nice food! At the apartment you can buy from the owner: home-made bread (by "nonna"), fresh eggs fromown chickens, good olive-oil, vinegar, home-made Limoncello, olives, red/white wine.
