In the very heart of an unknown and unspoilt part of Tuscany where life still follows the pace of nature sits Marcigliana, an authentic Tuscan farmhouse surrounded by stunning views and wild nature. Marcigliana is now an organic farm producing Pecorino cheese, olive oil and vegetables. The farmhouse offers 2 apartments and an independent barn, all restored with care and attention to detail. A large garden offers an inviting swimming pool and magnificent views over the surrounding hills and the nearby hilltop village of Radicondoli. Besides Radicondoli, the view includes Montecastelli and Monteguidi and stretches as far as the Etruscan city of Volterra and the wonderful San Gimignano, both within 40 minutes motoring. The farm extends over more than 90 hectares of eco-farmed land. Besides poultry, we breed Sardinian Sheep for the production of milk and cheeses.

Guest comments
What a marvellous holiday! the accommodation is perfect, the views are stunning, Pietro and his family are extremely generous and friendly. Thank you Pietro for taking us milk the sheep with you in the morning and for the delicious vegetables from the garden. Most of all thank you for your friendship.
John and family June 2008.
A place to go to relax unwind and forget about daily life. We loved it! Patrice 2008.
Donegio and his wife were so generous with their hospitality and genuine friendship.
We miss them very much and often think about how them and hope they are keeping well.
La Capanna was perfect for us. We liked being at the centre of the farm watching the farm activities and even helping a little sometimes. We loved wandering about the Orto and olive groves accompanied by 2 dogs, 5 cats and often the occasional escaped chicken.
We came away with 2Kg of cheese, marmellata and figs and bought beautiful oil (liquid gold), wine and eggs whilst we were there. Maxi
