Nestled in the comfortable apartment you will be surrounded by Art, Antiques, artifacts. Local produce delivered and purchased daily from the piazza outside the apartment.It oozes character and charm and elegance and is truly one of a kind. A cosy and authentic home away from home. The owner is an accomplished painter and paintings are displayed in the bar/gallery on the ground floor and throughout the apartment. The eclectic bar bar serves cappuccino aperitivi and cocktails any time of day and the restaurant serves Typical, seasonal Cilento cuisine including the famous mozzarella, pasta dishes, lamb, wild boar. A good base from which to explore Agropoli, Paestum, Rocca Cilento, Castellabate, Velia, Pompei,Amalfi Coast. An experience not to be missed!

Notes on prices
Pricing is based on our 3 bedroom apartment for 6 people.
But please enquire regarding your group size because our accomodation is flexible and can be minimized or increased to a maximum of 8.
Changeover day
Flexible subject to availability. Preferred changeover day is Saturday.
Notes on accommodation
BEDROOMS:all with double beds,wardrobes, private en-suites and television. Single beds can be supplied upon request.
KITCHEN:There is a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and fridge
SALON/LIVING ROOM:generous private salon/living room and dining area for relaxing and WI-FI internet access
OUTDOOR - views to the sea from the outdoor terrace which is equipped with outdoor furniture for dining outdoors and a BBQ
BATHROOMS:Each bedroom has its own en-suite and fitted to a high standard.
HEATING:The apartment is equipped for heating during winter
LINEN:All bedlinen & towels are supplied. We change over all towels every 4 days.We have a housekeeper on site for any special requests
BEACH UMBRELLAS:We have umbrellas for the beach for our guests to borrow
Accessibility
The apartment has it's own private entrance and is located on the first floor using the stairs.
Outside
The local countryside is a delight for walking and lovers of nature and forms part of the UNESCO world heritage listed Cilento National Park.You will be surrounded by Chestnut woods and Olive Groves and Prickly Pear
Blu Di Prussia is situated on the ancient and historical village piazza Aldo Moro where tables and chairs are available to eat outside.
Private Terrace on the first level of the apartment adjoining the living room/salon.The terrace is equipped with furniture for outdoor dining or sun baking with a view to the sea and the coastline of Agropoli.
Coast/Beach
Beaches in Agropoli are a 15 minute drive with the bay at Trentova being particularly nice. The charming coastal town of Santa Maria di Castellabate is a 20 minute drive. The beaches are sandy and the sea has been awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness. In the summer months of July and August small ferries can be taken from Agropoli and Santa Maria to Capri, the Amalfi coast and Palinuro. Out of these months ferries are available from Salerno also to Procida, Ischia and Naples.

MEDITERRANEAN COOKING VACATION
Amateur cooking course based on "The Mediterranean" diet with excursions to dairies, olive mills and wine cellars located in the Cilento National Park –the the cradle of ancient Greek and Roman civilization AND also the place where the scientist Ancel Keys founded the famous Mediterranean diet and documented in his book Eat Well & Stay Well.
The teaching plan will consist of theory and practical lessons about traditional Mediterranean Diet meals ,ingredients and practice.Well reknown Gran Maestro Chef executive has received many International and National awards and is often a guest on various RAI tv cooking shows (such as “La Prova del Cuoco”).

Travel
The nearest international airport is Capodichino on the outskirts of Naples and is 100km (approximately an hour and a half to Agropoli). From the UK British Airways and Easyjet fly here. During summer there are also ferries from Salerno to Agropoli.
Car hire is available from the Naples airport and also in Agropoli. There is also a railway station in Agropoli which can be accessed from Naples. Car hire is essential to fully appreciate the Cilento National park and coastline.
Distances
The famous Greek temples at Paestum is a 25 minute drive. The historic town of Agropoli is a 15 minute drive. Santa Maria di Castellabate and the medieval hilltop town of Castallabate is a 20 minute drive. The port and coastal village of Acciaroli (Hemingway's favourite holiday resort) is a 45 minute drive south. Palinuro is a 90 minute drive. Laureana Cilento is surrounded by other hilltop villages of Torchiara, Rocca Cilento, Vatolla, Rutino, Lustra are all 5-10 minutes drive.
Further details
The largest village where shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and bank can be found in Torchiara which is a 10 minute drive. Agropoli offers all the local amenities on a larger scale. There are many leisure activities available in the surrounding area of mountain biking, walking, horse riding, quad biking, water sports, organised tours, tennis, ferry trips, hiring of motor boats, and even helicopter rides!
During July and August the Metro Del Mar Ferry service runs from Agropoli for day trips via the sea to the main towns on the Southern Cilento Coast,Capri and Salerno.
We can also organise day trips to the Amalfi Coast either by private charter boat or by a small mini bus.
Booking notes
A Non - Refundable Deposit of 50% is required upon booking confirmation via bank transfer in Euros and the balance is payable in full upon arrival. We also take bookings on a nightly rate which will include breakfast. Children under 10 years of age are free of charge in nighltly rate. Dinner or lunch can also be included in room rate for an extra 15 euros per person. Please contact us if you are interested in a nightly rate for short stays.

We have lived all over Italy and also Abroad. Laureana Cilento is the place we have chosen to express our individual passions and love of Italy. Blu di Prussia has evolved as unique holiday accommodation with a bar, restaurant, art gallery and antiques shop. Mimmo is an accomplished painter and restorer and creator of our beautiful establishment and home and dedicates most of his skill and passion to these things. The rest of the family - Teresa, Marta and Nonna take care of our guests, friends (who usually start out as guests) the restaurant and all other situations and events that arise daily in the South of Italy.

Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
We love the Cilento area which is a Unesco World Heritage National Park. We are just a few km off the usual tourist routes in the mountains with a view to the sea and coastline of Agropoli, amidst an enchanting mix of culture, art, nature and folklore. Over the years we and all our guests have discovered the marvels of Laureana Cilento and it's coastline. Some of the most beautiful places in the world: Pompeii, Naples, Sorrento, Capri, Ischia, Positano and the Amalfi Coast are all within reach of a day trip from Blu Di Prussia. At night we get the chance to relax in this magic place where time has stopped and stress and chaos are unheard of.
