Argegno is a characteristic fishing village, where there are local cafes, easy access to boat trips around the lake and excellent restaurants from fine dining "al freso style" to pizzerias and rustic trattorias serving fresh lake fish.
Holidaymakers visit Lake Como looking to explore the area and fall in love with Argegno as the village represents the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday where by you can experience quality authentic Italian cuisine, culture and way of life.

Coast/Beach
10 minutes walk to the shingle beach in Argegno with a lido and pizzeria. For cocktails on the beach and lake views to die for, 10 minutes drive north will take you to Lenno, a beautiful location with a man made sandy beach with restaurants and bars nearby. Boat hire is also available from here.

30 Minutes to Menaggio golf club.
Skiing
Skiing available in near by Lanzo (40 mins drive). Ski resorts at Madessimo and St Moritz (Switzerland 2 hours).

Painting classes available 10 minutes from the apartment. Cookery classes also available near by.
Travel
Milan Linate and Malpensa airports are approx 1 hour from the apartment. Bergamo 90 minutes. Please ask for more details. Car rental is recommended to get the most out of your stay in the Lakes, however boats and buses access all parts of the lake from the village which is only 10 minutes walk from the apartment.
Distances
20 minutes drive to the city of Como. Famous for Italian silk, lake front walks and views, pretty piazza, 600 old churches, gelatiarias with some of the finest ice creams in Italy we think! Al fresco dining and shopping for silk, leather and designer clothing. 20 minutes to the Swiss border for designer outlets in Fox town. 50 minutes to Milan with easy parking-ask for details, football, opera, shops. 25 minutes to the lakeside town of Menaggio from where you can take a ferry to Bellagio.

Visit Villa Carlotta and see it's beautiful gardens in many styles with lake views to die for! Villa Serbollini in Bellagio with unrivalled panoramic views is a fantastic day out. Bellagio itself is a perennial favourite for holiday makers with it's cobbled streets and unbeatable views. Do not miss Villa Balbianello in Lenno as featured in the 007 James Bond Casino Royale movie. Walk to the villa or take the private boat (5 euros) from Lenno lido (15 minutes by car from the apartment) with golden sandy man made beach. The villa and it's majestic gardens overlook the rich blue waters of the lake. Drive down to Cernobbio (15 minutes south of the apartment) for an idyllic lakeside walk, a favourite for a Sunday stroll. Menaggio, with it's palm lined walkways is another pretty lake village worth exploring. Many boat activities from windsurfing to sailing are available on the lake as well as other water sports. Mountain bikes are also available for hire if you wish to venture into the vast mountains that surround the lake. San Anna and La Griglia near by serve superb seasonal and regional cuisine with excellent wine lists and are just 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Argegno village is full of excellent restuarants from fresh lake fish (Emilio's), pizza (La Corte), Barchetta-typical local cuisine and upmarket dining at La Piazetta.

Approx 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. Balance payable 12 weeks before departure. Key collection 2pm-6pm Saturdays preferred. Arrivals out of hours by request. 200 euros refundable bond paid on arrival. Departures by 10am. Please note prices may fluctuate due to market conditions. Cancellation Policy. Full refund given up to 12 weeks prior to your stay after which no refunds apply.
