Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in euros. Baby items for rent 25 euro per week (cot, high chair, play pen). Discount for long lets can be arranged. End of stay cleaning is obligatory unless the property is returned in pristine conditions and there are no breakages, mid stay clean can be arranged should be approx. 60 euro's.

Changeover day
Saturday preferably. Arrival afternoon and departure in the morning (time required to clean for the next people arriving).

Accommodation

Notes on accommodation
The child items can be rented for 25 euro per stay, this includes a highchair, cot and a play pen. The garden has been fenced off and the swimming pool is 1.50m deep all over. There is a fence and gate to close off the swimming pool area. 1 bedroom queen size double bed is on the ground floor and the shower room is in the hall therefore suitable for elderly. Upstairs 1 very large master bedroom with en-suite shower room and room for a child bed, 3rd bathroom with bath, seperate shower and toilet in the upstairs hall between the other bedrooms in (small double room, twin room and large double room). There is a sofa bed in the hall downstairs should you need an extra beds. All bedrooms are spacious, have wardrobes and a chair, night stand and lights. There is linen for all the beds including the child cot should this be required. The walls are thick so in summer the house tends to keep cool. All rooms (1 window per room) has mosquito netting.

Accessibility
There is a bedroom and shower room, wc on the ground floor which is suitable for elderly. There is one step from the bedroom into the kitchen area. It is also one step to get outside onto the terrace

Outside
There is a barbecue, table and chairs and beds next to the pool. The private pool is 12x5.5m. The pool will be open from mid May to the end of September (all depending on the weather). The pool is fenced off and has a gate to ensure that childeren can't go in unsupervised. There is a ping pong table in the garage which can be used outside. There are badminton rackets also for use. There is shade if required and a large terrace all around. There is a shower and toilet by the pool including a fridge for drinks.

Coast/Beach
1 hour 15 mins drive to the beach (liguria), near Genoa

Golf
There are quite a few golf courses located around the area. It will take you 40 minutes to get there due to the house being located on top of the hill. The oldest course is close to Asti which is approx. 35 min drive, 36 holes.

Skiing
It is possible to go skiing near Turin and it will take you approx. 1 hour 15 mins to get there.

Travel
The closest airport is Genua then Turin and then Milan Malpensa. It is essential to have a car as the house is located on top of the hill. The closest airport is Genua 1.15 mins, then Turin 1.30 mins and then Milan Malpsensa which is approx. 1.45 mins drive. There are trains or buses that can get you to Alba, Alessandria and even Canelli (slow train!).

Distances
2 minutes drive to the closest village, see view (Castiglione Tinella), Canelli 15 minutes (large shopping centre), Alba 25 minutes (old town with great shops), Aqui Terme 25 minutes (hot springs and old town centre), Barolo and Barberesco wine and castles are also approx. 20 minute drive.

Further details
As the area has not been flooded with tourists yet so you will discover the real Italian here, some speak a few words of English but generally you can make yourself understood. There are no English menus but some great restaurants nearby at very reasonable prices. There is a bank and cashpoint in the village, pharmacy, bar, supermarket, hairdresser. Other places such as Santa Stefano Belbo, Canelli are 6km away and are slighly larger with more bars, terraces, shops. There is a disco in Calosso. Piemonte is also famous for their wines therefore many cellars/stores dotted around the area. The hilly landscape, the cuisine, rendered varied by the range of culture and small farmholdings, and an enormous monumental heritage are things that entice one back again and again to this area. Each season here is extraordinary, starting from spring with its triumphant burst of colour offered by the vineyard dotted hillsides. Summer is mitigated by a breezy climate and preludes the glory of the harvest of a very tasty aromatic grape. Autumn heralds the appearance of the superb white truffle.

Booking notes
Deposit is required for advance booking. Start and end days can be discussed / flexible depending on the season. The full rental amount must be cleared into the bank account 8 weeks prior to start date of the rental period. The deposit is returned on your departure date after the check out inspection. Check out must be at 10.30 unless a later time has been agreed. Arrival time is at 16.00 on date of arrival unless otherwise agreed.
