Its position at the upper end of the historic town centre means that your balcony and your main bedroom command spectacular countryside views with the sea in the distance. You are close to all the amenities and only 30 minutes from the Adriatic beaches and the Sibillini Mountain National park. The house has recently been renovated and redecorated. It also has new furniture and a new bathroom with bath/shower over.

Notes on accommodation
The property is on a traffic-free street so is particularly family friendly. However, the marble staircase is open-plan with a handrail only on one side. All the windows are equipped with louvred shutters.

Accessibility
The house and the cobbled streets are not adapted for wheelchair users. Free Parking is available within 20 metres of the house on the Town Hall square, or free shaded parking c. five minutes walk away. There is a "Meet and Greet" service when you arrive in Montalto. Just park in the Cathedral square and phone!
Outside
Sunny balcony with southerly aspect and breathtaking views for al fresco dining or sunbathing. Seating outside in small piazza or in private small garden.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is the blue-flag beach of Grottamare, 25 minutes away. The largest resort nearby is San Bernadetto del Tronto.
Skiing

Travel
Montalto is easily reached from Ancona and Pescara airports, and Rome or Rimini are both a 2-3 hour drive away. Car hire is advised, although there are local buses from Montalto and private hire is available. The owners are always happy to discuss flights/car hire/insurance etc with prospective guests.

Montalto has the full range of food shops, cafes/restaurants, bank, Post-Office, Doctor's surgery, weekly market.
Booking notes
25% deposit at time of booking, balance can be paid in UK by cheque or on arrival when the house keys are collected. Bookings may also be made in French and German (owner will reply in same language).
