This apartment is located on Via Garibaldi, in Trastevere, a lively, well-known neighbourhood in Rome. The whole neighbourhood is filled with shops, restaurants, pubs and pizzeria, which makes this a perfect area to go out at any time of the day or the night. Trastevere seems to attract people from all over the world and is the favourite Roman Quarter for artists, musicians, actors and people who seek something new. Its colourful personality never leaves you untouched. The Roman Forum, Coliseum, Pantheon, Piazza Navona and more sites are all within walking distance. As for public transportation, a few steps from home, you can take small electric buses to all historical centres. The zone prohibits vehicles. This apartment has been completely renovated and is nice and colourful. In alternative from Fiumicino Airport you can take a train to Termini Station and go out Trastevere station (5 euros pax) and then take a taxi to the apartment. From Ciampino Airport you must take a bus shuttle to Rome centre city.

Further details
Dining in Trastevere. There are a lot of restaurants which serve fairly good food. There are some of them, I think, are worth recommending: Dar Poeta, pizzeria: the pizza is good, the service is quick, prices are low and the atmosphere is really nice. It is open only in the evenings, from about 7pm. If you arrive at the pizzeria in the ‘rush dining hour’ you will probably have to queue, but don’t worry, you won’t have to wait long, they are quite fast. Address: Vicolo del Bologna.

Dar Belli, restaurant of Sardinian cuisine, with a speciality of fresh fish. I advise you to order i tonnarelli alla spigola e pachino (the kind of nuddles with cherry tomatoes and fish) and the starters of various kinds of fish. One spends on average 30/40 euro per person, depending on the type of wine one chooses. Address: S.Apollonia Street.

Da Augusto in De Renzi Square. It is one the most antique restaurants of Trastevere. The service is very rudimentary, but the cuisine is typically Roman and home made. It is open also at the lunch time. Still if you arrive during the rush hour, you will have to queue. – very good and cheap.

Attention: I am not the owner, nor do I take money for these advertisements. The gourmet.

Drinks: Freni E Frizioni is an old renovated workshop which offers an aperitif service, offering you various goodies to eat included in the price of a drink.- excellent from 8-10pm. Markets: In Vicolo del cinque, there is a market, small but well provided. The closest greengrocer market is in San Cosimato square. It is really beautiful and extraordinary. If you look for second-hand clothes, then you’d better go to Porta Pprtese on Sunday morning, definitely worth visiting, even if I am not really fond of it, too many people and too much confusion.
