The unique setting overlooking the most picturesque stretch of the Pomino/Rufina wine route is a splendid area for nature lovers, walkers and historians alike. Within easy reach of Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa. This charming farmhouse, perched majestically over 20 acres of chestnut woods and olive groves is further enhanced by layers of stone terracing giving shady retreats for al fresco dining. Dinners on request using freshly harvested produce from our vegetable garden, served on the terraces in the summer months or in the characteristic dining room with open fire when temperatures drop. After lazy days by the pool, take time out to explore the surrounding countryside, on foot, horseback or by mountain bike. We organise special itineraries such as wine-tasting, cooking, art and mind and body workshops or a special event like an intimate wedding or a special anniversary.

There is a 2 1/2 km unmade road to arrive at the property. Due to the layout of the grounds and property not suitable for wheelchair users and for small toddlers (under 5).

Special interest holidays
1) We organise cooking and wine weeks, combining 3 hands on cookery lessons and visits to local wine estates. Trips to places of interest including Florence, Monastery and National Park of Vallombrosa and a selection of medieval villages.
2) Local watercolour painter, Marilyn Day will teach you the art of sketching and landscape painting. 1 to 3 lessons for individuals or small groups.
3) Francesco one of your hosts arranges workshops including yoga and Tai chi using experienced instructors.

About the owner
After many childhood holidays in Italy I knew from an early age that I wanted to have an experience of living in Italy. I fell in love with Florence & Tuscany and decided to try living here for one year. Suddenly 20 years have passed!
Together with my two Italian partners and my faithful flatcoated retriever, we have carefully renovated this 15th century farmhouse into charming apartments.
For us a very special place that we would like to share with our guests. Enjoy the quietness of the countryside, breath-taking views and most important, good food and wine.
