The Palazzo Dei Ciompi Residence and suite apartments were previously home to the Accademia dei Risoluti, which gave birth to the Florence theatre named Alfieri. On the main gate there is an engraving of the Cavallo Sfrenato (The Galloping Horse), symbol of the Accademia dei Risoluti whose motto was "valoroso destrier passa e non cura" (brave horse passing without fear). In the Palazzo Dei Ciompi accommodation there are 2 modern elevators to get to the apartments. In front of the building there is car parking for about 12 cars. Inside there is a reception area to receive and assist guests. Palazzo dei Ciompi suite apartments are found in the centre of the old city of Florence, in Via Pietrapiana 18 at the point where the road meets Piazza Ciompi. 150m from the square of Santa Croce and 350m from Piazza del Duomo.
