Villa Capanne is situated within the Antognolla Estate which provides both privacy and security. Entrance to the Estate is through a guarded entry and guests receive a pass upon arrival to open and close the entry gate. The main house, Capanne, has four large double bedrooms, simply, yet elegantly furnished. The cottage, Capannetta, is adjacent to the main villa, but separate and self-contained. It also commands views across the rolling hills and forests of the Antognolla Estate. Villa Capanne sits in the 1,000 hectare private Antognolla estate, amid gentle rolling hills and centuries old Cypresses. Today the Antognolla Castle, classified as a national monument, is currently being restored. Within the estate there is an 18 hole championship golf course and many walking trails through the woods providing a wonderful opportunity for those interested in the local flora and fauna.

Notes on accommodation
The house is suitable for children and included are 2 travel cots and 2 high chairs, but the pool area is not fenced. There is a selection of children’s toys and books available as well as inflatable objects for the pool for children. There are 2 sets of golf clubs and 2 bikes available for use. The villa has central heating making it a perfect family venue for both summer and winter. All windows have fly screens. The house managers are on call and can provide advice on local activities and there is a very comprehensive house information booklet.
The following services can be provided to guests of both main villa and Capanetta for an additional cost: Provision of maid service, on-site catering service and tours of the local historical centres can also be arranged.

Accessibility
The ground floor of the property could accommodate someone with reduced mobility but not a wheelchair.
Outside
The villa has stunning landscaped gardens, with banks of lavender, ancient olives, large grass areas perfect for family games and shaded grass areas, to escape the summer heat. The infinity swimming pool has an unequalled view across the estate to Antognolla Castle. The L swimming pool has one shallow section for children and one deeper section for serious exercising. It is surrounded by terraces furnished with luxurious sun beds, one large pergola with dining table and chairs for long lazy lunches and a kitchen garden with table, chairs and umbrella. There is a gas BBQ available to use.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is Fano which is 1 hour 45 mins but most people prefer to sunbathe on the banks of Lake Trasimeno which is very child friendly and has excellent facilities.
Golf
Golf Course of Antognolla; 18 holes Championship course Within the estate 2 mins drive. The guests have access to play Antognolla Golf course at specially discounted prices. There is a driving range, practice ground, club house, bar and rental facilities for clubs, trolleys and golf carts.

Car hire is essential. The distances to airports are approx: Perugia 25 mins, Bologna Forli 100 mins, Bologna International 150 mins, Ancona 90 mins, Pisa 140 mins, Rome Ciampino 150 mins, Florence 120 mins.
Distances
The nearest village - Pierantonio is 5 mins drive and the local market town of Umbertide is 10 mins drive. Within an hours drive of the villa you can visit, Assisi, Gubbio, Perugia, Lake Trasimeno, Cortona, Arezzo, Todi and Orvieto. An easy day trip can be made to Florence, Sienna, Urbino and many other wonderful towns of Tuscany, Umbria and Le Marche.

Guests are provided with a comprehensive list of local restaurants as well as directions to local shops (closest 5 mins drive), supermarket, fashion shopping outlets and all necessary facilities as well as opening and closing times, etc. The villa is perfect for entertaining whilst also providing a fantastic base from which to explore Umbria. Local bilingual managers are on hand to help regarding any problems as well as to assist in booking restaurants and provide weekly updated advice as to what is on at that particular time of the year.

30% deposit is required on booking and the remainder 6 weeks prior to the arrival date. A simple contract is required to be signed.
