Marco known for the Cilento National Park, instituted in 1991 it is second biggest Italian park, Unesco World Heritage site and European blue flag. Above S. Marco you can find the medieval hilltop village of Castellabate, offering spectacular panoramic views of the coastline of the Gulf of Salerno and Capri. Oasi is surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden with swimming pool. It is the ideal place to spend a nice and calm holiday. The tranquillity, peace and silence represent the main attractions for those who come to stay at the Oasi. The apartment has a roofed terrace/big balcony with tropical garden view. The beach is 800m from Oasi Residence, from 15 May - 15 October, sun chairs and umbrellas are available. Parking is adjacent to the property.

Notes on accommodation
House rules. The tranquillity, peace and silence which represent the main attractions for those who come to stay at the Oasi are entrusted to the responsibility of our guests. They are therefore invited to respect some basic rules in order to spend and enjoyable period of holiday and rest.
a) The swimming pool is open from 9am - 2 pm and from 4pm - 8pm
b) For hygienic reasons, it is necessary to shower before entering the swimming pool.
c) In order not to disturb guests sitting around the pool, bathers should avoid excessive diving into water, thus reducing to a minimum noise and splashing.
d) To make a good use of the swimming pool, guests are requested to refrain from bringing water mattresses, balls and other toys into the pool.
e) We ask to keep the afternoon rest period between 2pm and 4pm on common spaces.

Oasi Residence has a swimming pool (14x6m) set within a very lovingly cultivated garden full of palm.
Coast/Beach
The beach is 800m from Oasi Residence from 15 May - 15 October sun chairs and umbrellas are available. The long sandy Pozzillo beach extends up to S. Maria. You can enjoy beautiful sandy beaches that lay between S. Marco and Santa Maria or explore the more quieter rocky beaches and coves towards Punta Licosa. S. Marco itself is a small fishing village and boasts a small port mooring many fishing vessels, and in the summer months yachts and leisure boats.
Special interest holidays
The Cilento countryside also contains many other characteristic villages perched on terraced hillsides which are a delight to explore. The Cilento's pearl is Castellabate, medieval hilltop village erected a thousand years ago as a stronghold against the Saracens. Castellabate, offering spectacular panoramic views of the coastline of the Gulf of Salerno and Capri. Above Castellabate there is San Marco, picturesque fishing village, it has a pretty harbour which is built on a more ancient Greek harbour still visible today. S. Marco is situated on the unspoilt Cilento Coast in National Park, instituted in 1991 it is second biggest Italian park, inscribed as a Unesco World Heritage Site but the coastline and water of S. Marco were awarded the European Blue Flag for cleanliness and environmental awareness in 1999. With the car hire available directly, just 30 mins away to the magnificent Doric Temples and museum to Paestum.

The nearest airport is Naples 120km. Rome is 350km. The nearest railway station is Agropoli, some 15km from S. Marco di Castellabate. Paestum 20km. Velia 37km. Palinuro 63km. Salerno 63km. Amalfi Coast 85km. Grotte di Pertosa e di Castelcivita 90km. Vesuvio, Pompei e Ercolano 95km.
Distances
Oasi Residence is 100 m to the centre and 800m to the beach. Port of S. Marco 400 m. Punta Licosa 6 km. Boat trips can be arranged to Punta Licosa, an extraordinary 6km stretch of private, unspoilt coastline, ideal for snorkeling, delightful for a pleasant stroll amongst the eucalyptus and pines and superb for the enthusiastic jogger.
Further details
In just 30 mins you can visit the magnificent Doric Temples and the museum of Paestum along with the buffalo mozzarella farms. Velia only 40 mins away, is known for its school of Greek philosophers, its medieval castle, 5th century BC Greek temple and amphitheatre, once popular with wealthy Romans. Just one hour and half to get to the Caves of Pertosa and Castelcivita known as far back as to be referred to by Seneca, have long galleries with extraordinary stalactites and stalagmites of different shapes and colours.
The archaeological sites of Pompei, Ercolano and Vesuvio are within easy reach in just 1.5 hours. The legendary Amalfi Coast, with towns such as Vietri Sul Mare famous for its ceramics, Ravello with its beautiful Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. Positano, an elegant and picturesque resort with its white Mediterranean houses arrayed on the terraces are just 1.6 hours away from San Marco.
The grandeur of the 14th century Charterhouse of Padula, 2 hours inland from San Marco is well worth a visit. A short trip by hydrofoil or ferry from Sorrento or the Port of Salerno bring you to the enchanting island of Capri where you can discover the fabulous panoramas, the marvellous blue grotto and Roman history.
Naples, the capital of Campania, is rich in history with its many churches, monuments, museums and renowned Capodimonte museum, which should not be missed. Also, the Royal Palace, the Maschio Angioino Castle, the Royal Theatre San Carlo, the National Library, the Galleria Umberto I should not be missed. Caserta, two hours from San Marco, the Royal Palace, built in 1752 is one of the masterpieces of Vanvitelli.
