Casa San Michele is a beautifully restored farmhouse that sleeps 8 people in comfort. There are 2 double en-suite bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms, and 2 additional shower rooms. The property has 2 comfortable and relaxing sitting rooms. The luxurious kitchen is very well equipped and the adjoining utility room has two washing machines and a drier. There are 2 shady pergolas; 1 outside the kitchen, facing south, and 1 with a large table and chairs, overlooking the pool. The swimming pool is 10m x 5m (depth 1.5m), and the wide steps at one end are a perfect place to sit and enjoy the spectacular views across the valley towards the hills. There are 8 sun loungers around the pool, and a large parasol. The pool is not fenced so children must be supervised. A table tennis table is provided in the games room. There are fruit and olive trees around the house, and plenty of room for parking. The house is reached by a rural white gravel road. See videos at weblink below.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. Guests should vacate the property by 10am. Arrival time is 4pm. On availability calendar note that a 'booked' Saturday means the house is occupied until 10am and available from 4pm on that day.

Living Rooms: 30ft x 15ft downstairs sitting room. Large open fireplace and heavy exposed beams. 3 sofas. Library area and two armchairs. Hi-Fi, Sky TV, DVD and VCR. 15ft x 15ft upstairs sitting room. Log burning stove. 3 seater sofa. Two balconies overlooking pool.
Other: 15ft x 15ft dining room with large French windows to terrace and covered logia. Metal dining table and chairs for 8 people can be placed on the terrace.
Garage with table tennis table. BBQ area and large BBQ.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels and bed linen are provided. Pool and beach towels are not provided. Weekly linen change. A pool attendant will visit twice a week to maintain the pool and keep it sparkling clean.

 

Notes on accommodation
All bedrooms have multi speed silent ceiling fans. All windows are double glazed. Bedroom and bathroom windows fitted with built-in insect screens. Pool and beach towels not provided.
Pool depth 1.5 meters so children under 6 years of age must have adult supervision.

Approached by a white gravel road. The house is in a private location and not overlooked. We own the 12 acres of land around the house, and a small Olive grove of 35 Olive trees which produce good quality extra virgin Olive oil.

Front garden with flower bed and lawns. Large terrace with covered logia at side of house with French windows leading to the kitchen. Outside lighting for the terrace.
Large rear garden with covered terrace with double doors leading to the dining room. Outside lighting for the terrace. 30ft x 15ft x 4.5ft pool with wide steps at one end offering spectacular views down the valley to the horizon (see photo on page 2). 8 sun-loungers. Pool umbrella. Metal patio table and 8 chairs. BBQ area and BBQ.

Coast/Beach
Adriatic coastal resorts famed for their long sandy beaches are 50 minutes away. The pool is open from the 15th May to the 2nd October.

Golf
Golf at Conero less than 1 hour away.

Skiing
Sibillini national park. 40 minutes drive.

Travel
Flights to Ancona, Pescara and Bologna by Ryanair from Stansted. Flight time 2 hours. Ancona 1.5 hours drive, Pescara 2 hours and Bolgna 3 hours from the property.

Distances
Sant' Angelo in Pontano, a typical fortified village, is a 5 minute drive from the house. There you will find four restaurants, a minimarket, chemist, bakery, butcher, ice cream parlour, bars and bank. Further afield is the picturesque town of Sarnano, with its perfectly preserved medieval centre. Sarnano also has a good weekly market and a thermal spa. Macerata is the nearest large town. It hosts a summer opera season, and has a wide range of shops. Assisi and Urbino are within 2 hours drive.

Further details
Horse riding, walking, quad biking, hang gliding, water sports and cycling are all available in the Sibillini National Park which is 40 minutes drive from the house. Information pack available on request. In the summer there are open air Opera festivals at the world famous Sferisterio opera house in Macerata just 40 minutes from the house. From June to August there are colourful and spectacular outdoor medieval pageants and numerous food fairs where you can taste local wines, olives, meats and specialities of the region. Booking notes
£300 deposit per week to confirm the booking. Full payment 8 weeks before arrival date. There is a £300 damages bond payable with the booking, which will be returned after the property has been inspected on the day of departure.
