Lemon Tree B&B is in a country setting up a long drive, enveloped by an ancient olive grove, vineyard and orchard. 15 Minutes away from marvelous white sandy beaches, bays and rocky coves, overlooking the Azure Blue sea of the Adriatic. Near the magical town of Ostuni also known as ‘the white city’ which is a magnet for tourists. The historic centre is made up of a labyrinth of tiny cobbled backstreets streets full of gift shops restaurants and pizzeria’s, where tourists can savour all the local delicacies. The Mariner di Ostuni is just 10 minutes away.

The bedrooms are built in part ancient lamia with half meter thick walls and high vaulted ceilings keeping them cool in summer, where niches are cut out of the walls for storage and the quaint furniture is in keeping. The first bedroom has a double bed and room for a child's cot whilst the second bedroom has 2 twin beds which can also make a 5ft double bed. These both lead off to a shared spacious bathroom which has a bath and a separate shower. The décor in these rooms is in the theme of scented roses whilst the cosy guest room embellishes the theme of the Mediterranean olives and lemons; this is echoed in the large drapes which lead out onto the veranda.

 

Notes on accommodation
Quests can savour a full course continental breakfast prepared with regional food of the area. Squeeze their own orange juice, slice the home made olive bread and taste home made sweet pastries, local meats and cheeses and sample the homemade jams and preserves. Appliances are available to make hot drinks and toast home made bread. A large wood burner heats the bedrooms and the breakfast rooms in the winter. Visitors are welcome to use all home facilities including washing and ironing.

Accessibility
As the villa is all on ground level with no steps leading to guest rooms it makes it accessible to pushchairs and wheelchair users.

Outside
Weary guests can relax on the cane furniture shaded by the veranda and soak in the ambiance of this tranquil place which is only disturbed by the sound of the crickets. Visitors can sunbathe on the spacious walled terrace which accommodates sun chairs. Guests can eat their breakfast outside on the patio table which is shaded by a sun shade.
The villa is enveloped by an ancient olive grove vineyard and orchard.

Coast/Beach
Puglia has the longest coastline with the Adriatic on one side and the Mediterranean on the other. The local coastline just 15 minutes away from Lemon tree B&B has several marvellous sandy beaches, bays and rocky coves, overlooking the azure blue sea. Many having a blue flag status and local authorities make sure they are maintained to a high standard each year.

Golf
Less than 35km away there is an extremely good golf course.

Travel
There are 2 international airports, the Palese at Bari which is an hour away by car, and the Casale at Brindisi which is half an hour by car. With Ryan Air offering low cost flights daily from London Stansted, making the area cheap and accessible, with rail links to all areas. Guests can be picked up from the airport for an additional charge, but the B&B is in the countryside so guests are advised to hire their own transport. Ostuni railway station is 10 minutes away.

Distances
Ostuni, Carovigno and San Michele 6 minutes away by car and Ceglia Messapica, San Vito dei Normanni 10 minutes by car. Alberobello the home of the trulli just 30 km away.

Further details
The nearest town, the hillside town of Ostuni, also known as 'the white city' is a magnet for tourists. The historic centre is made up of a labyrinth of tiny cobbled backstreets, has a wealth of gift shops, restaurants, and pizzeria’s, where tourists can savour all the local delicacies.
