The bedroom
|

The apartment is tastefully and comfortably furnished and is well proportioned. Although part of the main house, it has its own, separate, private entrance. The house is situated on a ridge amongst the rolling hills of Le Marche, with wonderful views north, to the ancient village of Montelparo and south to the spectacular Sibillini mountains. We have over 6 acres of land on which we run a small farm, with livestock and pets. Ideal for kids to get involved with feeding and animal care. We also have woodland and an orchard, a small plant nursery and kitchen garden and we rent a small vineyard. The area is essentially rural and is ideal for walking and cycling. The beaches are half an hours drive away. Long stretches of sand and the blue Adriatic. The mountains are half an hours drive in the opposite direction. They offer incredible scenery and some wonderful walking. We can offer information on superb restaurants, to cater for all tastes and many unique places of interest.

Prices are for the apartment and include gas, heating, electricity and cleaning. Minimum stay 3 nights. Long lets considered. Discount on long stay lets over 2 weeks.
Changeover day
We are flexible due to the availability of some cheaper mid week flights and seasonal variations.Guests should arrive after 3.00pm and leave by 10.00am on the morning of departure.

Notes on accommodation
Situated within a small group of houses, the apartment offers excellent views of Montelparo, vineyards and a wooded valley. The main grounds are fully fenced, suitable for children. The apartment is suitable for a family or a couple. We can accommodate B&B for two people. Minimum 3 nights. Heating charged 5 Euros a day.

Accessibility
Apartment is on first floor with separate exterior access. Not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
6 acres of grounds which are shared with the owners, include a large garden, kitchen garden, woodland, small farm, orchard of fruit trees and walnut grove. Seating areas include a reserved terrace with views looking north over the valley to the picturesque village. Various other seating areas with stunning views south, to the Sibillini mountains. Sun loungers and garden furniture are provided.
Coast/Beach
The Adriatic Sea and its many beaches is about half an hours drive away. Long stretches of open sand or busy resorts with excellent restaurants and facilities.
Skiing
Skiing and snow boarding is available in the Sibillini mountains approximately 45 mins by car. The runs are open from December through to March at Sassotetto and facilities include restaurants, lifts, ski school and equipment hire.
Travel
To fly direct to Le Marche, try Ancona. This is our nearest airport, within about an hour and a half drive away. Ryanair, Lufthansa and Alitalia are the main carriers that operate from this airport. Other airports include Pescara, Bologna and Rimini. To get around the area, a car is essential. Cars can be hired at the airports. The nearest railway station is situated on the coast in Pedaso, half an hours drive away. The nearest motorway exit is Pedaso. Bus service to Rome from Pedaso.
Distances
The apartment is situated outside of the village, but is only a 15 minute walk away. Ascoli Piceno one of the provincial capitals of Le Marche, 45 mins by car. Fermo, one of the larger towns with a weekly market. 30 mins by car. Macerata. A university town with the famous open air opera in July and August. 30 mins by car. Most towns in the area have weekly markets and are steeped in history.

We can offer Local history tours, which are available for a small additional price from a qualified historian. Language in English or German. We can also arrange guided walking and hiking tours, in the mountains with a local guide. Price to be arranged with guide. Language in English, German, Dutch or Italian. Please notify us in advance if you would be interested in either. Other activities and attractions available within the area, include tennis courts, horse riding, swimming, skiing, concerts, archaeological sites, national parks, local markets, Owners live on site and are happy to help with any details.
Booking notes
25% deposit required to confirm your booking. Balance of payment to be arranged with the guests. Security bond of 200 Euros will be required on payment of balance. To be returned within one week of holiday ending by bank transfer.
