Surrounded by a private park of green lawns and secular plane trees, the villa, (of more than 700 square meters) is rented entirely to only one group of persons. It is furnished with antique paintings and furniture, and is situated on the banks of the river Adige in the town of Villa Bartolomea of which the present owners of the villa were feudal lords since the 15th century. The villa is in the heart of a highly suggestive rural setting comprised of the ample plains of the 'Great Veronese Valleys'. Here the three regions of Veneto, Lombardy and Emilia Romagna come together, offering attractions of great cultural, artistic and environmental interest. Ideal position for visiting cities and places of enormous appeal such as: Verona, Mantova, Ferrara, Vicenza, Padova, Lake of Garda and Delta of Po river (all within the distance of 65 Km). And Venice is only 80km far! An above ground swimming pool opens from 15th June to 15th September.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in euros up to 12 people. Any additional person, over 12 and up to 24, shall pay 1/20th of the relevant seasonal price as above indicated.
Long winter rentals of more than one week, excluding Christmas, New Year Eve and Easter periods, will be granted a discount of 20% on the rental price. Other period rental for more than one week will be granted a discount of 10% on the rental price.
Changeover day
The rental period may not be shorter than a week, starting and ending on Saturdays. Guests are kindly requested not to arrive before 5 p.m. and not to leave later than 10 a.m.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | All bedrooms are large (more than 24 sq.m.) comfortable and most have their own en-suite bathroom. Save for 2 double and 3 singles, all other rooms are twin bedded. On request 3 twins can become double. The master room has an extra bed. |
| Bathrooms: | All bathrooms are fully equipped with bath/shower, wash basin, wc and bidet. Of the 13 rooms, 7 have their own en suite bathrooms and for the other 6, there are 3 bathrooms to be shared, but all have however a wash basin inside. |
| Kitchen: | 4 ring stove, pots and pans, freezer, fridge, grill, mixer, microwave, oven, dishwasher, washing machine. |
| Utility Room: | The villa is fully equipped with cutlery, dishes, glasses and crockery up to 24 people. Central heating, fax, telephone and internet services are available. |
| Living Rooms: | In the large main living room (about 80 sq. mt.) there is a great fireplace and sofas, armchairs and chairs for more than 20 persons. Satellite TV in a separate room. The "Music Room" has a piano and CD player. |
| Other: | The dining room hosts up to 16 people. The billiards room, which is next to the dining room, is fully equipped and, at the occurance, the billiards table may be covered to become an additional dining table. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen, towels, sunbed are provided and included. A maid service for 2 hours once a week (resetting of bathrooms and kitchen) is included in the price. Additional maid service available on request, at cost. Final cleaning cost not included. |

Notes on accommodation
An incoming service is provided at the arrival and, during their stay, guests are assisted by an English speaking person, living separately in the compound, in any of their needs concerning tourist information, booking of concerts, operas, theatres, etc. Another separate apartment, in the same compound, is at the disposal of the owner. A convention has been stipulated by the owner with a local catering organisation providing lunches or dinners on request at convenient prices.
Accessibility
The villa, being rented only to one single group of guests, is particularly fit for families and children who do not have any problem in being left playing in the large park, completely enclosed. Large spaces and staircase; the villa is on three floors (mostly used are the ground and the first floors). Wheelchairs must be helped to get to upper floors.
Outside
Outside guests have at their free disposal: a gazebo with a large barbecue, garage, the entire park and two terraces, private parking, 16 garden chairs, 10 bicycles for great rides on the environmentally protected area of the banks of the river Adige, which flows just aside the villa. The private swimming pool is an above ground pool (10 x 5 mt.), ideal for the safety of the youngest children. The pool opens from the 15th of June to the 15th of September.
Coast/Beach
The nearest coast and beautiful beaches are at the distance of 60 Km (Lidi Ferraresi) and the Lido di Venezia is only 20 Km further.
Golf
Three golf courses with 18 holes are at the maximum distance of 60 Km. in Sommacampagna, and in the Euganean hills (Padua).
Travel
Verona International Airport is only 55 Km. from Villa Bartolomea. Venice Int. Airport, 85km. Milan Intern. Airports (Malpensa or Linate) are both at a distance of 160km. A local railway station is located in the village and connects the village to Verona and Rovigo as well as to Mantua and Padua.
Cars are recommended. Easy car hiring at the Verona airport (as well, of course, at the Milan and Venice airports) with all major car rentals companies.
Distances
The villa is at the top of the main street of the village , with the local train station in the same street 900 mt. far from the villa. Verona is at a distance of about 45km. Mantua, 55km.
Padua, Vicenza, and Ferrara, 65km. Venice and Bologna, 80km. The Delta of the Po river, is also at a distance of about 60 Km. At the distance of 35km. There are cities of great interest: Este, Montagnana, Cerea, Lonigo, Fratta Polesine, Lendinara.
Further details
In the village of Villa Bartolomea guests can find, at walking distance, any kind of shops: pharmacy, three banks, flower shop, grocery, butcher, bakery and also a large supermarket.
Two tennis courts, open to the public, are located just behind the villa. Horse riding schools and stables are very easy to reach in the area, which is particularly vocated for long and detaching ridings. Within the distance of 20 and 60 km. respectively guests can find two of the top level restaurants selected by the famous French Michelin Guide and prized with tree stars! Boat cruises, with lunch on board, are regularly organized in summer time on the rivers Po and Mincio, which both flow at a distance of not more than 50 Km. in areas of enormous environmental interest. From July 1st and until the 3rd of September, the famous Opera Season opens in the Roman Arena in Verona, with international opera singers, stage designers and orchestras.
Booking notes
Once the booking is accepted by the landlord and confirmed by the Guest, by e-mail, a rental agreement shall be sent to the Guest, by post, duly signed by the landlord. The Guest should return, by post, to the landlord, a copy of the same rental agreement, duly signed. At the same time, the Guest shall also send to the landlord, by bank remittance, a booking deposit for the amount corresponding to the 30% of the rental price. No booking shall be binding unless the above procedure is completed.
