Belvedere di Prato offers all you could want for a perfect holiday in this fascinating region. Many of the area’s most famous tourist destinations are within easy reach, yet you may be tempted just to relax and enjoy the scenery by the pool, play a game of tennis or garden chess or, in the cooler seasons, settle down by the fire with a book from the extensive library. The comprehensively equipped kitchen has everything you need for making use of the wonderful local produce, and the beautiful garden provides a choice of outside dining areas for enjoying the fruits of your labours. Furnishings and fittings throughout the house reflect the character of the region without sacrificing comfort, while many extras, such as pool towels and hairdryers, are included to cut down your packing. The delightful towns and villages nearby offer restaurants, markets, festivals, produce fairs and more at any season, and many of our guests return year after year to make the most of them all.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. Between November and March, including the Christmas and New Year period, it may be possible to offer flexible start/end days. Contact us for full details and prices. In July and August we can usually only accept rentals of two weeks or more.
Changeover day
Saturday. Arrival from 5pm. Departure 10am. It may be possible to offer flexible arrival and/or departure dates in low season.

Notes on accommodation
We are delighted to welcome children, though the house is not designed specifically with children in mind and supervision will be required for younger ones. Please note that the pool is not fenced off. Toys, books, games and videos/DVDs are provided. Central heating is by liquid petroleum gas and charged separately. There are two log burning stoves and an initial supply of wood is provided for off-season rentals (further supplies at extra cost). A telephone is available for use by guests, at cost.

Accessibility
We are sorry, but Belvedere is not easily accessible for those with limited mobility.

One hectare of tended gardens, planted with olives, lawn, trees and flowering plants, and surrounded by forest and farmland. Swimming pool with diving board, ample paved surround, sunloungers, pool house (with table football), 12x6m, depth 90cms - 2.40m. Tennis court with acrylic surface. Covered portico adjoining house, with original working bread oven, charcoal BBQ and table for 12/14. Terrace with pergola adjoining house, with table for 6/8. Raised terrace with pergola beside pool. Terrace with pergola and giant chessboard beside tennis court. Covered parking.
Coast/Beach
Two hours by car to East coast beaches. Beaches with sun loungers and other amenities available at Lake Trasimeno, one hour away by car.
Golf
Nine-hole golf course 5km away. 18-hole course 40 mins away (under redevelopment but available by arrangement).
Travel
Car essential. Nearest airports: Perugia 45 mins. Florence and Forli: 1½ hour. Ancona 2 hours. Bologna and Pisa 2¼ hours. Rome 3½ hours. Mainline Station Arezzo 35 mins.
Distances
Distances by car: Monterchi, Monte Santa Maria Tiberina 10-15 mins. Citta di Castello 20 mins. Sansepolcro 25 mins. Arezzo 35 mins. Assisi, Gubbio, Perugia, Lake Trasimeno, Cortona 1 hour. Florence 1½ hour (but best by train). Siena 2 hours.
Further details
Local shops at Monterchi and Lerchi, 10 mins by car. Large supermarkets, twice-weekly markets and many other shops in Citta di Castello and Sansepolcro. Many antique shops and markets in the area, including the monthly Arezzo antique market. Museums and art galleries. Designer outlet shopping, some locally, but particularly south of Florence about 75 mins away. Riding facilities at golf club, 5km away. Walking and hiking widely available.
