Pereta is a mediaeval village in southern Tuscany, dating back as far as the 9th century, especially interesting for its small houses, tightly set against each other. Its characteristic arched entrance to the old village and the tall watch tower perched at the top of attractive cobbled alleyways are proud features in this small and friendly village. A small shop, two bars, two restaurants boasting traditional cuisine and the best pizzeria in the area means you don’t have to venture out of the village if you don’t want to. Nestled into the old exterior walls of Pereta, at the bottom of a quaint alleyway, sits our old characteristic village house. Lovingly restored to high standards in 2007, with original wooden beams, exposed stone arches, open fire and tile floors maintaining that Tuscan charm. French doors lead to a romantic balcony overlooking the peaceful wooded valley. Only 20 minutes drive to the beach. Ideal location for exploring Tuscany... 'a little piece of paradise!'.

Tuscany boasts a lovely climate. The best way to descibe it is that it seems to have 'proper' seasons which all have something special to share with you... Warm sunny Spring days make a regular appearance from as early as March sending the area into full bloom with blossom on the trees and poppies by the roadside. The summers are hot and relaxing with inviting beaches and shaded pine forests. Autumn's sunny days are a kilidascope of colours, an aray of aromas with bursting vines and olive groves awaiting harvest time. The winter months are colder, time to enjoy the quiet villages filled with the cosy aroma of wood burning on the open fires, wrap up warm for a stroll on the beach or soak away your worries in the nearby hot springs of Saturnia... Mother Nature's Jacuzzi!

'We were lucky enough to be the first to stay in this wonderful and idyllic home. We loved the village and almost felt part of the local community! Just two minutes up the road is the most amazing restaurant! We loved the place so much that we booked immediately for this summer and can't wait! It's a tribute to Debbie that she has thought of everything to make this place perfect…I promise you will not be disappointed!!' Gill and Archy

'We had the most fantastic romantic holiday sitting on the balcony with our wine looking out over the valley. Pereta is a charming magical place and the locals made you feel like part of the community, all you need is a small phrase book and a smile. Franco at the local pizza parlour was very friendly and made the best pizzas ever. We visited lots of beautiful villages nearby and even visited to Rome and Giglio Island, So many places still to see, can’t wait to go back. Thanks for all the help and information which was very useful.' Chris and Allan
