Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in Sterling. We can also accept payment in Euro. For long term lets please contact us. Swimming pool available all season with solar heating and cover. £400 security deposit plus and extra £200 security deposit in the cooler months. Heating charged at cost if used.
Changeover day
From June to September the changeover day is Saturday. Out of this period it may be possible to arrange alternative days.

Notes on accommodation
Each of the bedrooms which are within their own trullo cone has DVD player and iPod Docking Station. There is no air-conditioning however as all the bedrooms remain cool during the summer months and there are fans if required. There are Mosquito nets on all bedroom windows. Central heating is available for the cooler months. The lounge is within two cones and has leather sofas one of which is a sofa bed, Satellite TV, DVD player and large selection of DVDs. The kitchen with handmade Ash table to match the solid Ash units all with soft close doors and drawers is very well equipped. Large games rooms with table tennis, full size table top football, Home Cinema with 42" plasma, Satellite TV and over 2000 films, Nintendo Wii, giant jenga and giant connect 4 and numerous other board games, this is a fantastic area for both children and adults to either escape the midday sun or to keep amused long into the night. And if you are feeling energetic there are seven bicycles.
Accessibility
The trullo is on the same level except for one bedroom that has a small step into it of just 10cm. The pool area is accessed via a ramp, there are five large steps into the pool.
Outside
Large 12m x 6m solar heated swimming pool surrounded by trees for both privacy and shade, and gated for safety to stop young children wandering around the pool unaccompanied.
The stunning courtyard has a polished stone floor and beautiful shade sails to create a stylish private area. The covered outdoor eating area with a solid oak and stone table provides protection from the strong midday sun, and a further covered area to relax in during the day and long into the night, with seating for 10. There are also 12 sun lougers. A large BBQ completes the outdoor eating experience. Pool available with solar heating all season.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach of Torre Canne is just a 20 minute drive away. All along this section of the coast are long sandy beaches interlaced with rocky coves and out crops.
Special interest holidays
We are happy to arrange a Pasta Making Evening. One of our neighbours is only too delighted to come to the Trullo and make fresh pasta with you and then prepare an evening meal. Everything that she makes has either been home grown or home made.
We can arrange a private pizza making evening at the local restaurant, where you learn all about making pizza's and then you can have a go, and finally you eat them, it's a really great evening.
A Private Chef can come to the Trullo to prepare and cook a dinner of your choosing.

Travel
Both Bari and Brindisi airports are 80km from the trullo. Car hire is essential however directions to the trullo are very straight forward. Meet and greet at both these airports can be arranged.
Distances
1km to the local village shop, 1.5km to the nearest restaurant, just 5km to Alberobello and 3km to Locorotondo with many restaurants, open all year round. There are many places to visit and things to do in the local region, from the caves at Castellana Grotte and Putignano, to the cave dwellings at Mottola and Massafra. The coast has an abundance of villages, harbours and beaches from the remote and quiet to lively ones dotted with cafes, bars and restaurants.
Further details
The virtually undiscovered region is rural with historic towns perched on the top of the many hills, painted white to reflect the glistening sun. Puglia is Italy’s largest olive oil producing region with olive trees in every garden it is easy to see why. Every town has a market day selling locally produced goods from fresh fruit and veg, to clothes and shoes, a bargain to be found by all. The sun in July/August can be very strong, but with the weather being pleasant from May through to October there is plenty of time to explore this beautiful region.
Alberobello is an historic town made up with over a thousand “trulli”, a small cylindrical building that peasants built hundreds of years ago to avoid paying taxes, now a popular tourist attraction. At just 5km away with its many restaurants that are open all year round, it is within easy reach. In late September they hold a large festival where the whole town comes alive for 4 days with street markets, a fun fair and religious processions.

About the owner
We first came to Alberobello in 2005 and fell in love. I had spent time in the North of Italy, which I love very much, but the South is just so different. We immediately bought a small apartment and then spent the next two years coming here for weekends and holidays as much as we could. One year we visited 9 times!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We wanted something close to the wonderful town of Alberobello. Being such a tourist town it is never quiet and there is always something going on and restaurants open whatever time of year you visit.
Unique benefits of the property
Our trullo is one of the few large trulli that have all the bedrooms off of the main living area; you don’t need to go outside to get to the main part of the house. We have a large games room which is excellent when too hot to go outside, or some extra space for children to play in. We have also just installed Solar Heating to the pool.
