'Fattoria Pagnana' is a quiet and relaxing residence in the heart of Tuscany only 15km from Florence surrounded by vineyards and olive groves just outside the village of Rignano sull’Arno. The completely restored apartments are situated in the old farmhouse and in some nearby colonial houses overlooking the owner’s villa of the XIV century. They are furnished in tasteful country style and have all modern comforts. They are cosy and with close attention to details and can host 2 to 6 people. The Agriturismo enjoys its own swimming pool, a tennis court, a playground for children, outdoor barbecues and furniture. Among the additional services for guests we have open air dinner, cooking classes, free wine and oil tasting in our own cellars, visit to our agricultural museum, wellness area - vita course and laundry service. Fattoria Pagnana is ideal for those who like nature and countryside.

A pre-arrival shopping service is available upon request.
Heating from 15 October - 15 April. The heating is not included in the prices and it is € 80 per week or € 15 daily.
Coin operated washing machine € 5 each token. Extra bed € 75 per week per person payable on location. A cautionary deposit of € 155 is required upon arrival. VISA and Mastercard are well accepted.

We have two appartments especially modified for people with wheelchairs, special bath and easy access.

Pizza at Fattoria Pagnana : once a week, wood oven cooked pizzas including free Pagnana's wine. Book at pay at reception(min. 10 pers). Cooking class of Tuscan cooking: (min. 10 pers) to be reserved and paid at the arrival. Cookery course will teach you the theory and the practical aspects of Tuscan way of cooking in a pleasant atmosphere. Special attention will be given to the choice of the ingredients, all local and exceptionally fresh, and to the wines. The cookery lessons are followed by lunch when you will enjoy the dishes you have just prepared.

Travel
Pagnana country cottages are 15 km from Florence.
From Pisa Airport: After exiting the airport follow the blue signs for 'Firenze' (Florence). Ignore the green autostrada sign for Firenze. Continue along this highway for approximately 70 km where you will follow a motorway sign 'A1-Roma' until the 'Firenze Sud' exit. Follow signs for Bagno a Ripoli, Vallina, Rosano, Volognano, Torri, Pagnana.
By Train: There are many connections from the Firenze - 'S.M. Novella' train station to Rignano.

Distances
This location, being in the heart of Tuscany, is also ideal to visit Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Arezzo and Volterra, which are within 15-70km. 2km from Rignano sull'Arno where you can find a post office, bank, chemist, railway station, shops and a supermarket.

'We had a really relaxing time at Fattoria Pagnana. My son, a classics graduate had never been to Florence, and his Javanes wife were able to get over from Hong Kong and so we booked a stay to both relax and sight-see. Trips to Arrezo, Pisa, Lucca, and of course Florence were enjoyable and the estate (complete with friendly wine tasting etc) on top of a hill 30 minutes from Florence made an excellent base…..especially with a good train service nearby to avoid parking in the city. The swimming pool always provides a way to relax at the end of a hot day. Many happy memories….especially of 'the boss’s' explanation of his work. He clearly loves his work!'
