Set between the Adriatic Sea and the Sibillini Mountains, a two bedroomed self catering apartment, situated in a quiet rural setting overlooking the beautiful Marche countryside. The apartment has been completely restored in the traditional manner, with wooden beams, shutters and terracotta floors throughout. It is attached to the English owners 200 year old farmhouse, but has its own entrance and seating areas and offers seclusion and privacy to its guests. The farmhouse has 2 acres of land with olive and fruit trees, guests are welcome to walk in the grounds and in season enjoy the produce, the owners produce their own olive oil.
The nearest village is 10 minutes walk away and offers a restaurant, two local bars, supermarket, chemist,fishmonger and butcher, most shopping needs can be found there. This is the ideal holiday retreat for guests to experience the real Italy away from the tourist crowds, and to enjoy the hospitality of the local people.

Please Note - No fixed start and end dates, so guests can take advantage of cheaper mid-week flights, and choose the exact length of their stay. Extra days as shown. Bookings for less than a full week are welcome (less than 3 days considered). Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. If you wish to pay in Euros please let us know when making your booking and we will convert the price from sterling to euros at the current exchange rate.
Changeover day
No set changeover day to enable guests to take advantage of cheap mid-week flights. Resident owners so no restrictions on arrival time. Departure time 10:30.

Notes on accommodation
The English owners are resident in the main house, and are available to provide help and information, but guests privacy is assured. Central heating is provided but a surcharge of 50 euros is made for its use. Welcome Pack provided.
Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchair users due to hilly, rural location. The apartment is on the ground floor leading onto a large terrace, and may be suited for those with limited mobility. Please contact owners to discuss your needs.
Outside
Large terrace and garden area for sole use of guests. Two acres of olive and fruit trees which guests are free to make use of. Outside wooden dining table and chairs, sun umbrella, sun loungers and additional seating in garden area.
Coast/Beach
The Adriatic coast provides numerous small beach resorts with wonderful seafood restaurants, the nearest of which is Porto san Giorgio, 40 minutes drive away.
Skiing
Small ski resort at Sasso Tetto in the Sibillini National Park.

Nearest village 2 minutes drive, 10 minutes uphill walk. Many other hiltop villages nearby. Within easy reach are the 3 historic and cultural centres of - Macerata (world famous opera), Fermo and Ascoli Piceno. See website for further details. Sibillin National Park - 30 minute drive.

Small supermarket, chemist, doctors surgery, butcher, post-office, 2 bars and restaurant in village 2 mins drive, 10mins walk. Larger supermarkets, banks and numerous restaurants within easy reach.

Booking notes
A deposit of 30% is required on making the booking, balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to start of holiday. For bookings less than 8 weeks prior the full amount is required.

About the owner
We (Angie and Robert Worsley) bought our house here in Monte Vidon Corrado in 2005, sold our house in Sussx and moved here full time in February 2006. Over the next year we converted the attached one storey building from an agricultural building to the apartment we have called La Mimosa. We have been letting it as a holiday apartment for 3 years now , 2011 will be our fourth. It has been a great experience for us as we have had people staying with us from many different countries and it has been a pleasure to hear how much they have enjoyed their holiday at La Mimosa and how much they like Le Marche.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We have had no regrets about moving to Italy. We live in a beautiful part of the country and our neighbours and the people in the village have been really kind and welcoming to us. The Sibillini National Park with its spectacular mountains is only 30 minutes drive away as is the Adriatic coast. In between are all the pretty little hill top towns. There is plenty to see and do here but tourism has had little impact on the area.
Unique benefits of the property
We are surrounded by countryside but it is only a 10 minute walk up to the village where there is a bar, restaurant and various shops. As we have only the one apartment guests do not have to share the outside areas with others. On the other hand we, the owners, are resident here and are on hand to sort out any problems should they occur and to provide any advice or information guests may need to enjoy their holiday in Le Marche.
