The 'House of the Sailor' is located in Letojanni, in the old fishermen's village near Taormina (only 5km) on the Sicilian Ionian Coast, only 40m from the seaside. House of the Sailor (67m2), dates back to the years 1700; while maintaining the characteristics of that period, the house has been entirely restored. The walls of the perimeter have remained intact and parts of the pavements are made out of local baked clay paving stones. The two-storey house is accessible by a nice alley. In the entrance that separates the two storeys there is a hall that has maintained the characteristics and the flavour of that period, a ground floor small living-room with kitchen, an air-conditioned, kitchen equipment, double divan bed and a bathroom with shower. Returning to the hall, one can access to the first floor small balcony with chairs and table an old stairway made out of stone from that period where the there is an air-conditioned bedroom with sea view and bathroom.

Coast/Beach
Letojanni's fame is due to its beautiful sea, sand and gravel beaches. A tourist can choose between free and private beaches where it is possible to find many comforts such as bars restaurants, plenty for children and adults. Association for diving lessons and sea excursions for people who are deeply in love with beach. There are many opportunities to come back in the evening with lots of activities: such as dining or dancing.
Golf
The Picciolo Golf Club is the first golf course constructed in Sicily. It was designed, in the 1989, by Luigi Rota Caremoli. The beautiful 18 holes are among oaks, hazels and vineyards.
How to get there: From the motorway A-18 Catania-Messina take the Fiumefreddo di Sicilia exit; then follow the S.S. 120 direction: Piedimonte Etneo, Linguaglossa, Randazzo. After 800 mts from the turning for Castiglione di Sicilia, on the left there are 2 big pine trees.
