The house, built in the traditional style, has beamed ceilings and tiled floors throughout. Every room is light and airy with mountain views. It is a peaceful and tranquil spot with fresh air and light, refreshing breezes. To the front of the house is a lawned area to the rear a secluded garden from which the spectacular Prato Fiorito can be seen. This stone-built hillside house stands just off the road to the pretty village of Lugliano, a 5 minute drive past babbling brooks and wooded chestnut trees to the charming spa town of Bagni di Lucca.

The main bedroom has a kingsize bed and a dual aspect whilst the other bedroom is L-shaped with a small double bed. Both rooms have cupboards and drawers for clothes storage. Both bedrooms look out over the hillside. |

Outside
To the front there is a lawned area and to the rear a spacious, secluded garden with garden furniture. To the side is a paved area with table, chairs and barbecue.
Guests are welcome to seasonal fruit and vegetables from the landlady's vegetable garden which is a few minutes walk away.
Coast/Beach
Seaside (e.g. Viareggio, Torre di Lago, Forte di Marmi) 1 - 1/2 hours by car.
Travel
Pisa is about an hour's drive and car hire is essential.

Bagni di Lucca has a number of shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, banks etc. There is an open-air swimming pool at Bagni di Lucca (heated naturally by the thermal waters) and a tennis club. Barga and Lucca (about 30 mins drive) have many activities of cultural interest, including live music.
Recently the village club has been reopened and there is a bar every night from about 8pm and pizzas are available some evenings. As well as seating inside there are tables outside and visitors can be assured of a warm welcome from locals.
The property is registered with and approved by Agriturismo i Quattro Fiori.
Booking notes
A deposit of 30% of the total rental is due on booking and settlement is due 60 days before arrival. Payment to be made by bank transfer to an English account.
Guest comments
We had a lovely time. It was nice to do a chilled out holiday rather than a touristy one (well we did go up the Leaning Tower of Pisa so not entirely true). We are already planning to return next year, possibly May. We’re going to try and learn Italian before our next visit! Maddalena and her family were so friendly and we really appreciated it.
