This is the perfect property for year round holidays, restful tuscan vacations or as a base for exploring Tuscany. Francesca is the most hospitable person and will bend over backwards to make your Italian vacation memorable. She is a master in the kitchen and will serve you the best food you have ever had. She also offers cooking lessons if you are interested in taking some of her flavours home to your kitchen. You can have a relaxing day by the pool or go exploring by the day, Lucca and Vinci are both within thirty minutes of La Fagianaia. You can also hop on the train and be in Florence in 45 minutes. It is also close to other popular destinations in Tuscany such as Pisa, Siena and San Gimignano.

The shared swimming pool (12m x 4.5m) has scenic views over Montecatini and the countryside. There are sunbeds and comfortable arm chairs. The garden is spacious and has patios with table and chairs and barbecues.

Montecatini is 7 km from the villa, Lucca is 25 km (20 min driving). Closest beach (Vecchiano) is 40 minutes drive.

Francesca and her husband are wonderful hosts. We arrived early and felt welcomed straight away. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and the surroundings maintained - they presented as advertised, the building has the feel of a farmhouse but the amenities are modern - we were two couples and had plenty of room and never felt like we were "roughing it". The views were breathtaking. Francesca offered (at booking time) to cook for us on our first evening and we accepted - one of our best decisions. The meal was exquisite, the atmosphere incredible - beautifully presented on their covered porch overlooking the valley with views of a church perched on a hillside and all lit up. We booked for another evening - this was quintessential Tuscany - Sorry for putting that much pressure on you Francesca.

I love the sun, warm temperature and Summer. Live in this lovely '500 century Tuscan villa in the country, with my husband and son, a lot of peace and silence, away from all - we are happy.
