Located in a undisturbed natural area of the Apenini mountains. Groppallo is a small village with a hotel, pizzeria and 2 bars all serving excellent local wine and home-made cuisine. Wonderful area for walking as the the famous old Francigena pilgrim routes are well marked, or touring around and visiting local towns such as Bardi with its medieval castle; or simply taking a dip in the Nure river. The area is famous for its coppa and salami and red Gutturnio wine.

The owner has lived in Milan and worked in design for many years. The apartment is decorated with care and has personal art works around. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable but is not really suitable for children.

The river Nure is 10 minutes away by car and the local council have taken care to provide a "beach" area for swimming.
