Further details
Renovation of this beautifully restored Marche holiday rental villa was completed in 2007. It boasts stunning views over Marche countryside and the Sibillini mountains and has a large floodlit pool. Views from the covered portico and first floor terrace are truly breathtaking, with most of the Sibillini mountain chain in full view and the medieval hilltop town of Amandola nestled invitingly below. The separate converted barn to the side of the main property has a separate double en suite bedroom and living room and fully equipped kitchen, which can be rented with the main property or on its own if the main property is not in use. Great walking from your doorstep and a large lawned garden bordered by woodland below. The nearest restaurant is a 20 minute walk or a very short drive and the nearest bar a 5 minute drive. The towns of Amandola, Comunanza and Monte San Martino are a 10 minute drive away. The local town of Amandola has a very pretty market square full of life, lovely cafes, boutiques and restaurants and is seen by many as the gateway to the spellbindingly beautiful Monti Sibillini National Park. Nature lovers, walkers, mountain bikers, paragliders, mountaineers, skiers or simply lovers of the great outdoors will be spoilt. But you can enjoy all this from your table at some of the many osterias and agriturismos that are common throughout the area, and provide not only wonderful cuisine at affordable prices but have stunning views from their windows and balconies. In the summer months fairs, festas and festivals are in constant competition around the local towns, so just look out for the street signs that criss cross the roads in each town and village, announcing their special culinary delights and when to savour them. There are many museums and galleries in the area with famous painters such as Rafael and Crivelli in prominence. And evening summer markets abound.

About the owner
I've lived in Marche for ten years and have been visiting for longer so I know the region really well, perhaps even better than my native North Yorkshire.
I love the place and work with the Monti Sibillini National Park as well as running my own businesses, translating guide books and organising mountain walks and treks and finding the perfect holiday location for my clients.
My life and work mean I have really good contacts throughout Marche and beyond and I have found these to be essential in providing wonderfully memorable holidays for many, many clients.
So don't be afraid to make requests to make your holiday one you will remember with pleasure for a lifetime.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
I searched for properties throughout Marche for years while living here with my Italian girlfriend. I was in no hurry to find any old property - no rushed decisions.
I was in the lucky position to be able to take my time and wait for the perfect property. And that is what I did. When this property became available I made an offer straight away before it ever got into any agents' windows.
The reason. The stunning mountain views and the location. It is totally private, surrounded by our own woodland yet ten minutes from one of my favourite towns in Marche, Amandola.
And it is ideally located to take advantage of the mountains. The view of the Sibillini mountains is so good you can plan your walk from the terrace. I've yet to have guests arrive without being awestruck by the view.
