Wonderful beaches and landscape. Cala Gonone offers a good choice for trekking and excursions all around the area, famous for archaeological sites (Tiscali village) and its outstanding beaches (Cala Luna, Cala Mariolu etc).

Both very suitable for children thanks to the terrace and garden. Very handy for all facilities, close to beaches and shops.
Accessibility
There are some steps to reach the apartments but it's possible to enter the two bedroom apartment from the garden which has only one little step.
Outside
Garden and terrace are provided with outdoor furnitures (table and chairs). Terrace has also a garden umbrella.
Coast/Beach
Apartments are 1 minute walk to the nearest beach (Palmasera beach), but if you want to enjoy the deep beauty of this coast, drive for 15-20 minutes maximum and you will find fabulous sandy beaches north or fascinating rocky beaches south from Cala Gonone.
Travel
Nearest airport and port is Olbia, about 1.5 hours from Cala Gonone by car, Alghero airport and Porto Torres port about 2 hours, Cagliari airport and port 2.5 hours.
Car hire is strongly recommended.
Distances
Cala Gonone is 20 minutes from Bue Marino Cave and Cala Luna beach by boat. 15 minutes by car from Ispinigoli Cave (second longer stalactite in the world). 30 minutes by car from Tiscali nuraghic village and Su Gorroppu gorge. The nearest village is Dorgali, 10 minutes by car.
Further details
Two minutes walk from the house is the promenade which is very charming and full of little restaurants and shops.Local shops are usually open in summer from 9am to 1pm and from 5pm to 8pm. You will find lots of restaurants and pizzeria in Cala Gonone but you will have to go to Dorgali to find the bank. Typical products here are homemade pasta (try culurgiones, a type of ravioli filled with cheese, potatoes and mint), homemade pastries (most of all almond sweets), philigree jewels, leather handcrafts and embroidered by hand cotton and flax linen.
At the harbour you will find a wide range of organized tours by boat and also boat rental if you prefer a trip on your own.
For archaeological and naturalistic excursions (Serra Orrios prehistorical village, Domus de Janas/Fairies Houses, Tiscali and Su Gorroppu) organized tours by jeep or car hire are suggested.
