Il Grande Panorama, with its excellent views of Barga, the Serchio valley and Apuan Alps, is a traditionally built farmhouse and has 4 acres of vines, olive, fig and other fruit trees for guests to enjoy on the terraced hillside. There is a private 24' above ground swimming pool set in the vineyard with a terrace surround. A short distance down the hill from the house is the village of Albiano, where there is not only a family run restaurant with a large summer terrace (hence its name 'La Terrazza'), serving traditional Tuscan food and where locals flock to in abundance to taste the superb fare, but also a bar, shop and church. Barga is a lively hill town with a large variety of restaurants, bars, shops etc and during the summer months hosts various festivals and concerts. With Pisa, Florence and the beaches of the Mediterranean approximately 1 hour's drive away, the house is perfectly located to allow easy enjoyment of the wonders of Tuscany.

Outside
The house has 4 terraces; the main one links the house with the old barns (used for storage) to the east which are also part of the land. The view from this terrace is possibly the best in the valley - hence the name of the house! There is also a gas barbecue. The rear terrace faces due west and affords terrific sunsets; it also houses a traditional Tuscan wood-fired oven, perfect for pizzas etc. There is a third patio outside the third bedroom which has been converted from the old wine cantina and is very private being on the lower level with its own entrance. The fourth terrace is that beside the 24' above ground swimming pool (closed in low season) which is set in a clearing in the vineyard; the pool is serviced weekly. There are sun loungers and also a solar shower for your comfort. All terraces have garden furniture. The driveway to the house is suitable to park several cars.
