Casa Leone is a beautiful detached farmhouse set in the rolling hills of Le Marche. It was lovingly restored to a modern yet traditional standard. Shaded outside terraced eating area with breathtaking views stretching across vineyards, with the Sibilini Mountains on one side and the picturesque, nearby village of Patrignone on the other. The private swimming pool is surrounded by travertine marble, with sunbeds and parasols. There is a decked shaded area for when the sun gets too much. The local village is only 10 minutes walk away and has a good supermarket and bar/pizzeria. The town of Montalto is 5 minutes drive and has all amenities such as a bank, pharmacy and restaurants/bars. The house is looked after by a local English couple who live a short distance away. The house is also advertised by Vintage travel as Casa delle Vigne.

Changeover day
Saturday, but remain flexible outside peak times. Check in time 3pm & check out 10.30am.

Notes on accommodation
A food pack will be provided to welcome you on your arrival and there is a good informarion pack about the area contained within the house. No smoking inside property. Internet access can be arranged on request.
Outside
1 acre garden including olive grove and outside terrace for dining with BBQ. Private pool 8m x 4m, surrounded by travertine marble,with sun beds and parasols. Decked area of shade under mature trees retained in property.
Coast/Beach
Nearest beach in Grottamare 30 mins drive with fantastic seafood restaurants. Larger town with beach is at San Benedetto which is 40 mins drive.
Skiing
Sibilini mountains 40 mins drive, with lovely villages to visit.
Ski resort of Sassotetto can be visited on a daily basis and everything can be hired locally.
Special interest holidays
It is a good area for cycling and it is very popular in the area.
Christmas and New year and a great experience with all the towns decorating the streets and having fireworks.
Travel
Ancona airport is 1 hour drive. Pescara airport is 1 hour 15 mins. Car hire is essential and based at both airports.
Distances
Nearest village Patrignone 10 mins walk. Town of Montalto with all amenities 5 mins drive. Beautiful historic town of Ascoli di Piceno 30 mins drive is a hidden treasure of Italy.

Good area for cycling and this is very popular in the area.
Booking notes
Booking via email. 30% deposit on booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before date of arrival. £300 security deposit payable 1 week before arrival and returned within 1 week after your return home on notification from house managers.

About the owner
We live in Cambridge UK with our son who was born in the year 2000. We both work but like to travel as much as possible and we first visited Italy in 2003.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Our first holiday in Italy was to Tuscany and it was here that we decided we wanted to buy a house for restoration. We looked around a few areas and eventually decided on Le Marche because it wasn't too developed and had great variety such as coast, mountains and beautiful countryside.
Unique benefits of the property
The main reason we chose the house is because it is private but situated a few minutes walk from the local village and it has the most amazing views of the church in the distance on one side and vineyards on the other. The main town is only 5 minutes drive away and the coast 30 minutes. We think it has the best of both worlds without being too remote.
