The apartment is located on the 1st floor. Small private balcony. Situated on a quite street 3 minutes from the town center. Discover the unspoilt area of northern Lazio. Lake Bolsena is one of the biggest volcanic lakes in Europe. The water is exceptionally clean. It is perfect for swimming, fishing, or boating. There are many natural beaches around the shores of the lake, all open to the public. This is a beautiful area, away from the crowded tourist places, with unspoilt views of the surrounding country side, yet you have the benefit of easy access to interesting places. many within 1hrs drive. Main train station in Viterbo 15 mins drive away.

Coast/Beach
Lake Bolsena is a volcanic lake one of the largest and cleanest in Europe. Perfect for swimming, and sunbathing, or just watching the sun set. There is a road around the lake it is possible to cycle or drive around.
Travel
Marta is 90km north west of Rome. Nearest Airport Rome Fiumicino and Rome Ciampino 1½ hour by car. Nearest Station Viterbo 15 mins. Nearest port Civitavecchia 1 hour. Car is recommended.
Distances
Many interesting places can be reached in less than 1 hour. Orvieto 35 mins. Civita di Bagnoregi 30 mins. Tarquinia the heart of Etruscia 40 mins. Viterbo with its beautiful Spa's and sulphur pools 15 mins. Montefiascone where the Pope spent his summers 10 mins.

Marta is a quite unspoilt town of 3.500 inhabitants. It is on the southern shore of Lake Bolsena. A large volcanic lake in the centre of Italy. The water is exceptionally clean and perfect for swimming. It is an ideal area for hiking, biking, or just exploring and enjoying the Italian life style. There are many festa throughout the summer, many activities on the lake shore in the evenings. Numerous restaurants, bars, shops, bakeries for all your needs.
