Il Pietraio is an old country house immersed deeply in the wild woods of the Carline Natural Reserve, a hidden pearl in the province of Siena amidst deer, porcupines and wild boars. The cozy inner yard offers stunning views of the Natural Reserve and hosts access to the large panoramic lounge/dining room obtained from the old hay stacks, the open cooking facilities and 3 independent en-suite double bedrooms. Just off the courtyard sits the staircase leading to the first floor, hosting a large open living area with fireplace, a fully fitted professional kitchen and three double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. At the back of the house sits an independent studio flat with a double bed and a sofa bed on a split floor.

Notes on accommodation
The house is child friendly. From October to June the house can be let to smaller groups of up to 6 adults, including only the first floor apartment. The other rooms will be locked but all the other facilities of the property will be for the sole use of guests.

The house is surrounded by garden and patio, and woods. The front of the house hosts a panoramic 3.8 x 8m swimming pool with deckchairs, parasols and a shower.

A holiday at Il Pietraio is a true retreat to feed your senses with the beauty of its unspoilt nature, its porcupines, deer, wild boars, hares and a lot more. Only 1 km from the house, deep in the woods, you will find Porcignano, an incredible restaurant where you can eat some of the most ancient and traditional Tuscan dishes, homemade jellies and preserves of the rarest berries picked patiently by the solitary lady who runs it with her young chef to be son.
Only 2 kms from the house sits the ancient Thermal spa of Le Galleraie, a beautiful structure offering all sorts of treatments and access to the geothermic spa waters.
Il Pietraio is 12 kilometres form the beautifully preserved Medieval hamlet of Radicondoli, a small village in the Colline Metallifere surrounded by untouched rolling hills which will take you back to Medieval times.
The area abounds in marked walking routes, beautiful rivers, genuine restaurants, organic farmhouses, scrumptious food and breathtaking views.

Further details
A 9 seater Defender Land Rover is available for rent at €800 per week, airport pick-up and drop-off service also available €100 each way. Catering is also available and charged at €35 per persona per meal. A resident cook for the length of our stay to prepare breakfast, cold lunch and 4 course dinner is charged at €250 per day excluding ingredients (about €10 per person per day for more than 15 people and €14 for less than 10).
