Stay in a beautiful house in the heart of a medieval village just 43km from Pescara airport. Ideal for weekend getaways as only 2 hours from the UK – Ryanair daily flights – and where you definitely won’t run into any other tourists. House sleeps 6, 2 x double bedrooms with their own balconies and 1 x bunkbed. Own garden/patio area. Recently refurbished with new kitchen and bathroom, has central heating and is tastefully decorated throughout in charming rustic Italian style including wood-burning heater, open fireplace and terracotta tiled floor. Gas hob and oven, kitchen seats 6 as does living room. Bed linen and towels provided. The house is a few minutes walk from a local supermarket, bank and post office as well as a number of quality eating establishments. The public swimming pool, accessible between June and September, is a mere 5 minute walk from the house. Accommodation is 40 minutes from the beach and less than one hour from nearest ski resort Prati di Tivo.

Patio garden area next to house. Ideal for BBQ's, sunbathing. View of the surrounding hills. Garden planted with roses and herbs - wonderfully fragrant evenings.

Golf
Less than an hour from the "Circolo golf d'Abruzzo" golf course. The San Donato Golf Course in Santi is also roughly the same distance away.
Skiing
Nearest ski resort is Prati di Tivo around 45 min by car. The resort has a chairlift, 5 ski-lifts and 9 ski runs and it is possible to do cross country skiing on two circuits and the heliski. There is also a recommended skiing school within the area. There are 17 ski resorts in total in the Abruzzan mountain range area allowing plenty of choice for skiers, snowboarders and cross-country skiers.

Travel
Nearest airport is Pescara, less than an hour's drive away. The town is serviced by Ryanair daily flights offering low price flights.
Distances
The house is situated in the heart of the village. You can walk to the restaurant, pizzeria and bars. Scenic walks to the nearby river and hills are just 5-10 mins away. Visit local wine and cheese producers just half an hour away. There is a public pool also a few mins from the house for public use. The Gran Sasso mountain range and national park are visible from the village and can be easily accessed by car. It really is a wonderful location with something for everyone
Further details
Local market every Tuesday morning. In October there is the regional wine festival held in the village. Sample local wines brought in by the producers. Basically the whole village just erupts into a massive party for 3 days. There's a real carnival atmosphere!

Booking notes
Rental rates are £300 sterling per week or euro equivalent at time of booking. Stays of less than 1 week are also available -quote available upon request. The full amount must be received no later than 2 weeks prior to stay in accommodation. A deposit of £150 is also required, immediately returnable upon satisfactory inspection once property is vacated. Rental fees can be paid into either a UK or Italian bank account.
