They are situated in the beach area of the fishing village of Santa Maria di Castellabate which has always been a popular holiday destination for the Italians & is now just becoming known internationally as an unspoilt, inexpensive & beautiful part of Southern Italy. The apartments are within walking distance of many bars, pizzerias & restaurants serving excellent local Italian cuisine.

All apartments have airconditioning/heating & a colour TV. Bed linen & towels are included in the price as is all water, gas & electricity. A coin-operated washing machine is available & an iron & ironing board upon request. Free off-street secure parking is provided. Garden/balcony furniture with a sun umbrella is included.
Outside
Each apartment has either a garden (ground floor) or a balcony (first floor) with table, chairs & sun umbrella. A BBQ can be provided upon request.
There is free secure off-street parking.
Coast/Beach
The apartments are situated 3 minutes walk from sandy Blue Flag beaches. Nuova Velia residents also have access to Hotel Pompeo's beautiful stretch of private beach with sun umbrellas & loungers. The hotel is only 350 metres away from the apartments & the beach is just 50 metres from the hotel.
Travel
Naples is the nearest airport & is approx 1hr 45 mins away by car. The nearest train station is Agropoli which is 20 mins away. Alternatively we can arrange an airport pick-up & drop/off service at an extra charge subject to availability. Tailor-made excursions can also be organised.
Distances
The village of Santa Maria is 20 minutes walk along the promenade. Such attractions as Pompeii, Paestum, Herculaneum, Vesuvius, the Amalfi Coast & Capri are all within easy reach.
Further details
Santa Maria has an excellent choice of restaurants, bars & pizzerias & also supermarkets to purchase produce if you prefer to cook yourself. It has a good selection of shops, 3 banks, a post office & there is a lively Saturday morning market that sells everything from fresh vegetables, cheeses & olives to clothes, tablecloths & variety of leather goods.
The Cilento National Park, in the Region of Campania, has been recognised by the UNESCO since 1998 as part of the World Heritage with the following justification: “The Cilento is an outstanding cultural landscape. The dramatic groups of sanctuaries and settlements along its three east–west mountain ridges vividly portray the area's historical evolution: it was a major route not only for trade, but also for cultural and political interaction during the prehistoric and medieval periods. The Cilento was also the boundary between the Greek colonies of Magna Graecia and the indigenous Etruscan and Lucanian peoples. The remains of two major cities from classical times, Paestum and Velia, are found there (…) as well as the impressive monastic property of the Certosa di San Lorenzo in Padula”.
