Nestling in the lush Tuscan countryside in an area often overlooked by the average visitor to Tuscany is the small hamlet of Colle Di San Polo Within walking distance of the village of Caprese Michelangelo, it provides the visitor with a full range of local services including restaurants, shops, post office and chemist. In addition the village also has tennis courts. A short drive from house is the striking hill top town of Anghairi and the medieval walled town of Sansepolcro, birthplace of artist Piero Della Francesca. Casa Rosa was formerly part of the local manor house, and is currently only let with the manor house during the summer months (June to mid September). Internally the property offers comfortable modern accommodation and has full central heating making it ideal for those spring and autumn breaks. Externally guests have a portico ideal for evening dining, BBQ, patio area, the Grand Terrace, garden and orchard.

Casa Gentili can be booked with Casa Rosa for £3,000 per week.
Changeover day
Saturday changeover. Arrival time from 4pm. Guests are asked to vacate the property by 10am to allow adequate time for cleaning.

Accessibility
People with limited mobility are advised Casa Gentili has steps to the first floor and there are steps leading from the Grand Terrace to the swimming pool.
Outside
Externally guests have use of the 12m x 5m pool. Some pool toys are provided for guests use. The pool has a large patio area equipped with a range of loungers, deck chairs and seating. Guests can also enjoy the Grand Terrace (above the pool), the garden and the orchard. A BBQ is available for use.
Coast/Beach
Nearest beach is approx 1 hour away.
Special interest holidays
Cookery courses are also ran at Buitoni house at the nearby town of Sansepolcro. Oil and wine tastings are available at the local oil mill - one of the oldest mills in Italy. In late October/early November guests can enjoy the first pressings of the olives, with a glass of wine in front of a roaring fire.
Casa Gentili is 100m from a national way marked walk route, and a short distance from the National Park. Local guides can provide guided tours of the surrounding countryside once rich in copper and silver deposits. As well as providing an excellent environment for walking the surrounding hills also provide many of the local people with a wide range of local produce including mushrooms, truffles, chestnuts and wild game. Many of which can be enjoyed in the local, excellent restaurants.
Travel
Car hire is essential. Nearest airport is Perugia (70km) approx 1 hour drive, other airports include Bologna (120km) approx 1.5 hours drive and Pisa (215km) approx 2.5 hours drive.
Nearest main line station Arezzo (40 mins).
Distances
Caprese Michelangelo village - 20 minute walk, birth place of Michelangelo, all local amenities.
La Verna - where St Frances recieved his stigmata - 20 minute drive.
Anghiari - one of Italy's most beautiful walled towns - 15 minute drive.
Sansepolcro - medieval walled town and birth place of Piero Della Francesca - 20 minute drive.
Siena (1.45 hours), Florence (1.5 hours), Perugia (1 hour), Cortona (1 hour) and Arezzo (40 mins) all within travelling distance for great days out.

Anghiari - Costumed festival to celebrate Battle of Anghiari end of June.
Throughout the summer a range of musical events take place locally, including dancing under the stars.
Throughout October and November a range of local food festivals take place across the region.
Through May and June, Pieve San Stefano has a range of a road races - from racing cars to cycling and running.
Booking notes
Short breaks during mid and low season are subject to availability. A deposit of 30% is required with booking, balance payable 28 days in advance. £350 bond is required with balance under a separate cheque. The bond will be returned with 14 days of departure subject and inspection of the property. Please advise of any special requirements in advance.
