The house has been refurbished to a high standard providing comfortable accommodation suitable for families or golfing groups. Bedrooms are all self contained with private balconies and en-suites. Le Madonie golf course is 1km and local beach 2kms. 15 kms to the beautiful beach resort of Cefalu and 20kms from the breathtaking Le Madonie conservation area and mountains. Capital city of Palermo is 55kms away. The village is just off the main motorway so easy access to all the great archealogical sites that Sicily boasts. Something for everyone in the sun!

Coast/Beach
The Lido/local beach with free car parking under shade is 1km away it sports a sandy beach with beach bar and water sports facilities. Sun beds for hire. Cefalu is 15kms and is the main beach resort to the area sporting everything for the sun worshipper. Water sports and sun beds are available for hire. Numerous restaurants and bars along the promenade. Also great shopping in Cefalu!
Golf
Le madonie 18 hole par 72 golf couse is within 1 km. Public tennis courts are in walking distance.
Skiing
The ski resort of Pianna Battaglia is 25 kilometre distance.
Travel
Campo felice has a railway station just outside the village, (approx ten minute walk from the accomodation). It is easy and cheap to travel anywhere in Sicily on the rail network.
e.g. it costs €5 from the village to Palermo. PMI Palermo airport is 75 kms and takes 1hr by A20 motorway. The village is situated just off the motorway. Catania Airport is 200kms and takes 2.5 hrs to Campofelice.
Distances
Cefalu is nearest big town/resort and is 15kms by car or easily reached by train from the nearby station. Sicily's capital city of Palermo is 55kms by motorway or it can reached by train.
Further details
Campofelice has lots of bars, restaurants, pizzerias and take aways within easy walking distance from the house. Whether it's a snack with the family or a big splash up celebration meal there is a restaurant to suit all tastes and pockets! There are also a number of shops and supermarkets nearby. Local wine can be purchased from just round the corner at a local taverna for just €1.5 per litre! The mobile street vendors pass regularly selling local produce, fresh bread, vegetables, fish and many other household goods enabling you to sample authentic Sicilian village life. See the shopping baskets being lowered from the balconies by the locals and the vendors filling them with their fresh wares! Piazza Garibaldi is the centre of the village. There you will find a bank, chemist doctor tourist information and public telephone. The Piazza ( main square) is often the venue for great free entertainment There is a large seating area and there are often outdoor concerts and fiestas.

Guest comments
We had a wonderful holiday, people in village are lovely even though they don't speak English!There was a band playing the night we arrived and loads of people about! On Friday it was chiesa Madre, which was also great!We danced in the square much to the local's amusement! Gill.
Really enjoyed our stay! The village is a real treat and the restaurants and bars are very good. So too the beach and the whole place just has a 'feelgood' factor. The house was very comfortable and clean, well furnished and lacked nothing. Many thanks The O'Neill family. 9/7/08.
