The farmhouse is run by a young Italian couple and it is finely restored and well equipped with hot pool/jacuzzi, and restaurant for amazing outside dining. 2km to shops (outlet), bank. Just 20km to Florence. Our resort is the ideal place in Tuscany (for a couple and family) where you can spend magic and unforgettable moments and enjoy old Tuscan recipes and famous red wines of this friendly region. Eight charming and comfortable rooms with private bath, provided with all services and comforts (air-conditioned, TV LCD, frigobar). Changeover day
Arrival and departure times are flexible. Don't worry for that but please advise us (by phone call or e-mail) in case of nightly arrival.

Coast/Beach
Lake Bilancino and its land: Mugello Bilancino is the largest artificial lake in Tuscany.
Gabbianello WWF oasis is full of mallards, storks, cranes and pink flamingos. Here you can appreciate the naturalistic value of landscape, plants and animals. On the shore of the lake and in its clean water, there are many activities you can do, such as bathing, canoing, sailing, windsurf, trekking, mountain bike. Lake Bilancino is located in the uncontaminated natural environment of Mugello Valley.
Golf
Now, both can be enjoyed at the acclaimed Poggio dei Medici Golf and Country Club, set in the heart of the beautiful Mugello region, and home of the Ladies Italian Open from 1999 to 2003.
The Course, designed by Italian architect Alvise Rossi Fioravanti and by professional player Baldovino Dassł, allows for four different playing routes within its 18 holes. As you play this fascinating course, you can also appreciate the typical Tuscan scenery, viewed from a vantage point near Barberino di Mugello.
You will find yourself on a world-class Golf Course deep in the countryside, only a few kilometres from Florence.
Travel
Autobus service is at only 2 km to our holiday home but use of car is recommended (you can easily rent a car at Florence airport).
Distances: Venice at only 2 hours. Bologna: 40 minutes.
Florence Airport: 20 minutes. Chianti Area: 30 minutes.
Siena Pisa and Lucca: 1 hour. San Gimignano and Montalcino: 1h30m. Milan and Rome: 3 hours. Tuscan Sea (Versilia and 5 Terre): 1 h. Tuscan Lake: 5 minutes.
Designer Outlet Barberino del Mugello: 5 minutes/2 km.
Village centre: 5 minutes.
Distances
5 minute to nearest town (Barberino di Mugello). 10 minutes to Florence centre and here you will find all around: mountains, hills, green valleys, uncontaminated streams, pure air, unique atmospheres, colors, sounds, sweet smells make this place really magic. A few km away you can play golf, visit museums or visit the famous autodrome of Mugello (Ferrari). Only 5 minute to Outlet Village for your best and convenient Italian Branding Shopping (100 branding shops: Prada, Gucci).
Further details
The resort/castle is close to a nice and traditional village (Barberino di Mugello) with many local shops, restaurants, supermarkets, banks, post office, hospital, horses farmhouse, wine cellars.

We all had a fabulous time exploring Tuscany and enjoyed returning to the lovely apartment every evening to relax!! I think we covered nearly 900km driving around, and loved everywhere we visited. Hopefully we will visit again in the near future.
