Outside
The apartment is located just off Campo Santo Stefano, by the Accademia Bridge and world famous gallery. It is a 10 minutes walk to Piazza San Marco, and 15 minutes to Rialto. From the apartment you can visit all the principal attractions without the need of a water bus but when you want to embark on a boat trip around the city or lagoon, there is convenient vaporetto access at Accademia and San Samuele (both less than 5 minutes walk). To really be like the locals, take one of the 2 “traghetto” (Gondola crossing of the Grand Canal which cost less than 1 euro) near the apartment. The Palazzo Grassi, exhibition centre, and several art galleries are just around the corner. Walk to St Marco and Rialto (no need to get on the water bus) or simply enjoy the six cafés, local shops and restaurants in the Square.
Coast/Beach
Boat from the Accademia to the Lido (20 minutes) where you find public and private sandy beaches with all beach facilities and activities.
Travel
From the airport : Alilaguna boat to Zattere (less than 10 minutes walk to the flat), watertaxi to the Accademia bridge (ask for san Vidal side) or bus to Piazzale Roma and waterbus to San Samuele or Accademia (running regularly, every 10 mins).

Distances
Campo Santo Stefano: by the Accademia bridge, 10 minutes to San Marco and 15 minutes to Rialto walking. Vaporetto stops at Accedemia and San Samuele, and on the Zattere (5 minutes) for the Giudecca/S. Giorgio. Few minutes to Palazzo Grassi and the Accedemia Galleries, and 10 minutes to the Peggy Guggenheim for the art lovers. 30 minutes to Piazzale Roma/and Ferrovia (bus/and train station), 20 minutes more from to the airport via land (Marco Polo/ Treviso airport: 40 minutes from P.Roma)

Live like a Venetian in their fascinating city, shop at the Rialto Market for your fresh produce, enjoy an aperitivo on the campo, practice your Italian, ride a vaporetto along the Canal Grande admiring the wonderful palazzi. Whenever you need, pop back to the central and conveniently located apartment to rest your feet! There are 356 churches to visit for the art lovers, and as many wine bars and cafes for the food lovers!! In summer take a boat to the Lido, and enjoy the sandy beach.

It’s close enough to stroll to the Rialto for fresh fish and vegetables, and allows you to experience life as the Venetians themselves lead it.
