Far away from the bustle and noise of modern highways and cities. “Domenico” (4 people, 48 sq.m.) and "Giuditta" (30 sq.m.) are 2 apartments on the magic former farm-holding “Le Caggia” (18 hectares of land). “Le Caggia” is surrounded by vast woods of holm-oak and chestnut that invites beautiful, breathtaking walks in the middle of the unspoilt nature. The estate dates back to the 16th century and in ancient times it was a sharecropper’s farm on the estate of the nearby Castle of Celsa. In the 70’s Signora Elisabetta bought the farm and restored it with much love and passion. The 2 apartments she restored only some years ago – in former times these tiny buildings have been used as a house for the cattle. With the cosy apartments providing a beautiful setting it allows you to enjoy a relaxing holiday with your friend or family - up to 6 people.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the properties per week and per day in euros.
Included in the price are the initial and the final cleaning.

Changeover day
Changeover days are preferred on Saturday, but are flexible on request.
Minimum stay 3 days.

“Domenico” is a luminous apartment for 4 people set on large grounds on a former farm. It is situated in the idyllic hilly area in the west of Siena (15km) called the “Montagnola Senese”, which is still considered as an insider. It is ideal for people in the search of peace and relaxation in the middle of an unspoiled nature - made for persons who want to enjoy the cultural and culinary highlights of Tuscany.
“Domenico” has been restored some years ago and it is just perfect for couples in the search for a romantic and private place. Couples, Families and Friends will love this hidden paradise far from it all.
“Domenico” together with “Giudetta” (the second flat) is situated in a beautiful one-floor house – the ancient barn of the farm.
The main entrance is through the wide glass door – here you find a fully fitted kitchen complete with a comfortable eating area. You find everything for cooking your favourite Italian dishes.

Giuditta (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2)

“Giuditta” has been restored some years ago and it is just perfect for couples in the search for a romantic and private place. Couples, families and friends will love this hidden paradise far from it all.
“Giuditta” together with “Domenico” (the second flat) is situated in a beautiful one-floor house – the ancient barn of the farm.
The entrance is through the wide glass door – here you find a fully fitted kitchen complete with a comfortable eating area. You find everything for cooking your favourite Italian dishes. Bath, bed and bathroom (shower, WC, washbasin) you enter from the kitchen.

Outside
The grounds of the property are made for maximum relaxation in the company of birds and squirrels. Your private area, with its tables and seats, makes romantic outdoor dinners possible.
The property has wide grounds with or without shadow, where there is much to see and to explore for children.
With over 18 hectares of land, part still cultivated and part grazing lands, the production of the farm various depending on the season, producing organic vegetables, fruit and honey.
The saltwater pool - once an ancient drinking fountain for the animals that worked the fields nearby, it is now transformed into a beautiful pool. The original walls of the pool are made from the local Montagnola stone, bearing witness to its past.
Gymnasium: A large space (100 sq.m.), oak-paved parquet with exposed beam ceilings. The room can be used for meditation-exercises or laid down with mattresses for yoga or simply for your children to play.
Coast/Beach
Within 1-2 hour by car, you reach the fantastic sea of Tuscany. There are many romantic beaches in this area, which is called "Maremma".
Travel
Car is essential.
Nearest airport is Pisa (low cost airlines) or Florence.
Nearest railway station: Siena.
Highway exit: Siena Nord.
Motorway A1 "Milano-Napoli".
Exit "Firenze - Certosa".
Take the highway (4 corsie) "Firenze-Siena", direction Siena.
Turn right and take the "S.S.1" Cassia in direction for Firenze.
Turn left for the direction "S. Colomba" and "Celsa" (S.P. 101).
When you find a crossroads, go ahead for Celsa (NOT turn to S. Colomba).
From the crossroads it is about 8km
Distances
"Le Caggia" is only a few minutes from Siena, 1 hour from Florence and 3 hours from Rome.
Further details
The property is situated in a charming area, which is still far away from traffic and tourism. All the beautiful things to explore are still considered as insiders: “Celsa” - the beautiful castle, “La Cava” - the mystic quarry and so many possibilities to walk in the unspoilt nature or to do some biking. On some parts of the walks you have a beautiful sight for the medieval town of Siena.
Also for the culinary aspect people love to stay with us. One kilometer away you find a hidden restaurant “La Montagnola”, where you can still taste typical Tuscan dishes for low prices. Or try the “Astronave”, where everything is still cooked over open fire.
6 kilometers away at Sovicille you can do your little purchases, buy petrol or take an “espresso” at the bar. For banks, a big supermarket and any other service you might require - you will find everything at Siena (12km)!
For a golf-course or going on horseback, you find the possibility some kilometers away.

Me and my husband have spent our honeymoon in February at the Santini´s estate. We rented "Giuditta" and we just loved it: maximum privacy and we will never forget this beautiful nature, we did not expect such a charming place in the middle of the nature.
Mrs. Elisabetta was mostly helpful and gave us many hints, for restaurants, walks, etc.
