This spacious detached house offers the perfect haven for relaxation. Only 5 minutes drive to the lakefront and centre of the village comfortably sleeps 5. Many a sunny afternoon are spent in the private garden enjoying a glass of your favourite wine or dining alfresco. The sleepy lakeside village of Argegno with its collection of restaurants and bars is ideally situated to reach all parts of the lake from the ferry stop or by car. Watch the locals fishing or people enjoy an espresso while they watch the boats go by along the lake. Argegno seems like a place where time has moved on without them. Visit the little bakery selling freshly baked cakes, look out for the fruit and veg shop with it' strictly seasonal produce. What's more you're less than 20 minutes drive from places such as Villa D'este, George Clooney's villa or even Villa Balbianello featured in the recent 007 movie Casino Royale. Switzerland, Milan, Monza grand prix, AC/Inter Milan FC are all less than an hour.

Notes on accommodation
Hairdryer, iron and ironing board included. The villa is an ideal family home with its spacious garden and BBQ facilities, perfect to while away a sunny afternoon! As the house is situated between the lake and mountains it enjoys a less atmosphere so air conditioning is not necessary. We use this as our summer house to take away from the extreme heat and to enjoy the sunny but cooler climate!

Accessibility
Steps from the garage to the entrance, the house is on the flat, however wheelchairs users may find it difficult accessing the house due to the small flight of stairs.
Outside
The villa enjoys it's own private, secluded garden ideal for alfresco dining with superb views of the mountains as well as a BBQ.
Coast/Beach
Argegno village is just 2km from the house and can be reached by car (5 mins drive) or by foot (20 mins). Argegno is home to a small shingle beach, whilst a golden sand man made beach is 20 mins north. Here you can sit an mini gazebos on the beach, put your feet up and let the waiters serve you your favourite drink as you take in the lake view.
Golf
Golf courses in Cernobbio and Menaggio can be found 30 mins north and south of the apartment. Please ask for details.
Skiing
Skiiing is available 40 mins away in Lanzo, 1½ hour by car to Madessimo or 2 hours to San Moritz, Switzerland.
Special interest holidays
Wine and cheese courses, painting classes are all available.
We can also arrange for a tour guide to contact a specific itinery based on your requirements.
Travel
Milan Malpensa and Linate are 1 hour from the villa. Bergamo is 1½ hour from the villa. Car hire is strongly recommended to get the most out of your holiday and to explore all parts of the lake although boat, bus and taxi services are all available, the walk to the lake from the house takes about 20 minutes.
Distances
5 mins drive to Argegno (2km). 20 minutes drive to Como city with it's gothic churches, piazzas and boutiques and lovely lake front setting (22km). Milan can be reached by car to view Leonardo Da Vinci's last supper, the Duomo and shopping galore(1 hour) or by bus or train (details available). The swiss border is ½ hour away and is popular for customers looking for designer bargains in near by fox town. Monza grand prix circuit can be found 40 mins drive from the apartment.
Further details
Mini market, fruit & veg shop, ice cream parlour, olde worlde cafes. bakery, restauarants and bars are just 5 minutes drive from the apartment. A larger supermarket can be found in Lenno, 15 minutes drive as well as a bank. Villa Balbianello, Carlotta & Erba are all less than 20 minutes drive. Superb lake views and gardens make for a special day out! Bellagio and Varenna on the other side of the lake offer an excellent excuse to get out and about on the lake. Varenna is a lovely lakeside village perfect for walking off your lunch and Bellagio is famed for its silk, leather and artwork..oh and it's incredible views!
Booking notes
A small deposit is required to book your stay. The balance is payable 12 weeks before your holiday after which no refunds apply. 250 euro refundable bond payable on arrival refunded on departure.
