The opportunity to visit our hand-weaving atelier in Rasiglia: we will explain you the ancient art of hand weaving by broadcasting a 30min movie (exclusive!) and we will show you ancient instruments and teach you how to use them. There will be also a weaving demonstration. Guided tours to our olive grove and extra virgin olive oil tasting with a fragrant ‘bruschetta’ - Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil won the Silver Medal at the 2009 LA International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition. Wine Tasting with an English speaking professional Sommelier. Cooking Classe and Private Dinners at the Villa. Visits to the wine cellars associated to the “Strada dei Vini del Cantico” and the “Strada del Sagrantino” wine roads. Ceramics Courses in Deruta: The courses are given by a master ceramist, supported by the owner of the workshop. The courses are carried out through practical experience into the initial stages.

Thinking about travelling to Italy maybe to spend some time in the countryside? Well think no further than staying in Umbria—The Green Heart of Italy-at the Villa Rosy near Assisi. Diane and I have travelled quite a bit in Italy, did Tuscany and loved it, but this time we spent a month in Umbria at Villa Rosy. What a wonderful experience we had, or as the Italians say, meraviglioso. Umbria has the added advantage of great valleys and mountain overlooks. Villa Rosy is one of those stone constructed country homes that has all the amenities, except American TV. Situated among over a thousand olive & nut trees, it was truly a bit of heaven & away from chaotic cities, yet less than 2 miles from Assisi. Signore Paolo, the owner, made every effort to be hospitable even going so far as to treat us to bruschetta-Umbrian style-on hot wood coals, novella wine from the recent harvest and showed us the way to really make Florentine steak, again on oak coals. All this and we even roasted chestnuts.

Hello! My name is Corinna and I am the owner of this lovely accommodation together with other two holiday houses in Umbria. Renting holiday apts. is my family business and I always put all of my energy and joy to this challenging job. I love to cook, to read and to share my knowledge about Umbria with my guests. Why the owner chose a home in this location
The Villa belongs to my family since the mid '60s, but it's only in 1998 that we finished restoring it and renting it to our guests. Villa Rosy sits amidst a 20 acres olive grove in the gentle hills of Mount Subasio, only 3 Km from Assisi, so the location is definitely a plus! The SS3 highway, which connects the main Umbrian cities, is only 1.5 km away and Florence and Rome are only 2 hours drive from here.
